| Whoa! Thank yall so much! I was so fearful of being banished! But this would let me know if this is where Nature and I belong. Not one single person had any negativity - Amen! YT forever! I know I probably sound like some spoiled - selfentitled little princess - BUT IM NOT. In my Daddy's eyes I am and I admit that. BUT along with the diamonds and the doggies - he has brought me up to be a very enlightened - loving - compassionate person that would starved to feed another. 'Mother' is absent and I understand we are far better off. I dont know or remember. The EMT's treated her - Amen but one of them said - after all hesitated: But, look at that face! And he took her and treated her. That mad me cry because I realized: had it not been a 'yorkie'... an AKC animal - animals that are usually owned by well off people (pretentious - puke) my puppy wouldnt have been helped. Had it been 'just a dog' - they would have said Sir - thats not our job - get her to a vet STAT! That upsets me a lot. But - if you knew my Dad - you would know he is the type that ALWAYS gets things done. Boyish Charm people say he is full of. Me - exact opposite haha. I printed all of this and gave it to him. He will hook her up. I am so thankful for all of the replies! She is only 16 weeks old and is indeed - very tiny. We go for our shots next week and this will certainly be addressed! Thank Y'all so much for making YT Home! |

| Mikaela - Passing judgement does not make your baby better. Based on the posts that I have read over the past months, people are understanding and want to truly assist. Thank the good Lord you found the right place. Your baby is your baby and you love her so much. Everyone here feels that same love and commitment to our babies. Our hearts break when we are helpless. Our hearts break when something happens and we feel responsible. Remember though, our hearts sing at the sight of our babies. I truly believe that my baby's hearts sing when they see me too. Love her. Give her attention. Provide her structure/discipline. Never be conditional. She will always love you unconditionally.

| Bless your little one's heart. I would have taken mine out without a second thought - shade, water, over the water - must be a breeze, sounds like no problem. Many dogs do well outside in the heat. It was probably because she is so young. You are so lucky you have a fast acting Daddy and EMT's that not only took care of her but actually knew what to do for such a tiny patient. I'm glad your story has a happy ending that you can share with us to help us learn. Hugs to you and Nature.

| I am glad no one was negative on this thread...but I don't know why they would have been! It really could have happened to anyone... Thank God for those paramedics who worked on her and and also for your Dad's quick thinking. Thank you, as well, for posting this and giving us a much needed warning about how easy it is for these little dogs to over heat! |

| Donating Yorkie Yakker | Hi- I'm glad your pup is okay. I would have lost it too. Our Gabby loves to go on walks around the block- in the day when it's hot. I worry about her too.So glad to hear those people helped like they did. Good DAD, smart DAD, too! |

. This actually explains even more - with a puppy's immature system, this easily could've been a combo of hypoglycemia (which yorkie pups are SO vulnerable to already), heat, dehydration, and stress (at her age). So, at this age - it makes it even tougher for them to manage heat.Glad she's doing get though. AND, your Dad is a KEEPER!

| I am head over heals in love with Y'all! I can feel the love! I have always been taught to look for positive environments and I was pure blessed to have landed here! My Daddy put one of those baby gates around the pool and installed a doggie door into my sliding glass door in my bedroom. My room is the 'mother in law suite' is what they call it here. Its like a lil apt kind of. But the back wall is all glass that slides back. This thing he got allows the sliding glass doors to be closed and locked but still have the small 'partician' which has a tiny door at the bottom. So - she has free access to come and go out onto the lania WHEN SUPERVISED - otherwise the door locks and she cant get out to the pool/lania area. Thats where I am training her as well (pops dont like that but I dont listen well because he never enforces anything lol) - its a HUGE screen enclosure around a pool basically. So - she goes out there and plays - poos and pee pees! I should show yall instead of telling you! But enough about me - what about all of yall! I have so many behinds to sniff LMAO! Love, Peace and Tolerance, |

| Honey, I am so glad your baby is ok. What a scare that must have been for you. Hat's off to the paramedic's who were kind enough to treat her. Buddy is a big boy 16lbs. It's been in the 90's here in NY since last week. He loves walking but in this heat within 10mins he can't take any more. His tongue is hanging out and he lay's down in the cool grass to cool himself. He is shaved also. The heat bother's him big time so I cut his walks down just until he does his stuff and right back inside he goes. The air has not been healthy enough to breath, it's just too hot. If the air quality is bad for breathing for humans it must be bad for dog's as well. I would not take Nature out in the heat until the humidity is down. I am so happy that everything worked out for you. |

| I'm glad Nature was saved. I can only imagine the fear you felt. When you take her to the vet to get her shots, I would tell him about this episode and ask him if there could have been any cellular or organ damage. I doubt there was, but just to be safe I would check with him.

| On a really hot day if I bring my boys out, they go in the pool or I wet them down. I make sure they have plenty to drink. If they wont drink water, give them some nutrical, its sweet so they usually will drink it. Im so sorry you had such a scare with them. Ive had to put my boys in the pool before when they looked a bit heat exhausted. Im glad someone was there to help you guys out!
