| ![]() Congrats! I agree with the advice you've recieved already. I was lucky and my Teddy had a good home before us. Only when we got him we had to break him of a lot of stuff. He's still testing the waters. I know I had teddy a month before darrall got back from his boat detachment(navy) so he saw me as his #1 and didn't care much for my husband until he started to make his place known but your yorkie is different. Just be patient and try to keep your stuff out of reach of him. Also when you take walks try to take him to a park and always go to the same spot to sit and rest. I did that with Teddy and he loves it.. he automatically runs there now. i just sit in the shade, in the grass with hima nd give him a toy to chew on and he's content.. I'll bring a book or my Nintendo DS with me to keep me occupied. At least all your yorkie does is potty near your stuff, ours chewed up a wii controller, and got into the trash during his last tantrum!. He racks up replacement bills on us all because we left him home alone for 30mins.

| ![]() I think you should give it some more time. Sometimes dogs favor the husband more because they see him as the pack leader. Whatever you do dont take him back to a shelter

| ![]() Thank you so much for taking the time to give me such wonderful advice. I'll keep trying and maybe one day he'll see me as something other than a walking pooper scooper! Edd |

| ![]() try to assume responsibility for him such as the feeding.. he'll see that you're the wonderful person who gives him all that food and may start to lean in your direction. I had my husband do that with teddy and also had him be the trainer so teddy knew he had all the good stuff(treats)

On another note, good luck, I hope you find as much joy in your baby as we all find in ours..
