Congrats!

I agree with the advice you've recieved already. I was lucky and my Teddy had a good home before us. Only when we got him we had to break him of a lot of stuff. He's still testing the waters. I know I had teddy a month before darrall got back from his boat detachment(navy) so he saw me as his #1 and didn't care much for my husband until he started to make his place known but your yorkie is different. Just be patient and try to keep your stuff out of reach of him. Also when you take walks try to take him to a park and always go to the same spot to sit and rest. I did that with Teddy and he loves it.. he automatically runs there now. i just sit in the shade, in the grass with hima nd give him a toy to chew on and he's content.. I'll bring a book or my Nintendo DS with me to keep me occupied.

At least all your yorkie does is potty near your stuff, ours chewed up a wii controller, and got into the trash during his last tantrum!. He racks up replacement bills on us all because we left him home alone for 30mins.
