| For those with two little dogs or more... Do you have jealousy problems with them as far as who gets the attention? My maltese and yorkie "argue" with eachother over my lap or who gets to be held and I do not like it. I'm afraid it will get worse. What is the best way to deal with this? Should I kick them both off my lap and ignore them? |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Chanel gets a little jealous when Cheri is kissing me or in my lap - what I do is hold both of them together and make a big deal when I kiss them at the same time and they seem to love it - Once in a while ...Chanel makes her monster noise to scare Cheri off my lap - and I'll just lay on the floor and give her a good guilt trip saying "Poor Cheri" and stuff... and they make up by kissing - but usually they are both pretty good ...they ARE like children that's for sure ...aren't they ? |

| tink and chloe fight over us too. I just try to love them both a lot and spend equal time with each but sperately. Its hard. Tink was used to being the princess for about a year and then chloe entered out lives. Tink doesnt like sharing.

| I am dealing with the same stuff! lol We've had Trixie about a week now and Daphne was our *only* spoiled baby for 3 years up to now.. so its taking alot from her and she is very jealous. But what is funny, Trixie has only been here a week now, and I think she's starting to be jealous too. lol

| I have that sorta kinda same problem .. My boy Yorkie will go NUTS if he's not the one i'm cuddling or kissing. While My Girl Yorkie loves to cuddle, she doesn't care who it is that's giving her a belly rub.. as long as it's me or daddy. And for my Girl Maltese, She is such a baby! She loves both me and her daddy, but she just neeeeds the attention! So it's a toss up between the littleman and My Maltese. they love to argue over who gets to cuddle with mommy. |

| I have serious issues with this! Hallie throws a fit when I pick up Simon or he wants to lay on my lap. I have been obsessively trying to hold them at the same time and give them equal amounts of kisses. I'm seeing an improvement a little at a time. It's been a year and its a long process but I have hope! |

| I have the same problem with my malt and yorkie. If Mia is in my lap and Bentley tries to get up she will growl at him and snap. But if Bentley is there first and she makes a move to jump in my lap nothing happens. It's all on her terms. Poor Bentley.

| Jealousy I have six that are always competing with each other. Mostly it is that they are trying to find out who is the Alpha of the group... Itzi the oldest and the smallest has set her ground, and she is the BOSS All the rest follow suit and will find their place with me as close as they can, the back of the couch, arm rest, a couple on each side and in my lap. I should get my husband to take a picture, just to see if I can be found under the yorkie pile But I can relate.

| In my experience it's best to let them find and have their pecking order. Let the Alpha be the alpha (except that you, of course have to be the MAJOR ALPHA). If you try to interfere with the who's the boss game, someone will get their butt kicked later when you are not around and it might not be pretty. Let the dominant kid have first dibs on lap and the sidekick will be just as happy to sit next to the lap for petting. When someone tries to change rank and start a tussle, I tell them to 'fight nice' and it's sorted out pretty quickly. Dogs understand having a respective role within your family 'pack' and it will only confuse them if you try to keep it all even up. |

| Always jealous Bengie and Garett always fight over my lap. Try typing with two yorkies on your lap. Bengie will grab gar by the hind leg if I am holding him and pull him down and then the fight is on. I have to hold both of them and tell them how much I love them both. They are that way with everything, what one has the other wants even if there are identical items right next to them. Kids LOL. |

| I have two that are very jealous. They will push each other out of the way and get mouthy with each other. Then we have one that is just as laid back as can be and has no jealousy issues at all. |

| I also have this problem Hi I have this problem to. I have a yorkie (Ruby Cupcake female) and a pomeranian (Valentino Tango) . Ruby is the predominant one and does like valentino to be picked-up if he does get picked up she starts trying to bite and barks nonstop. He isn't jealous at all but get tired of her harrasment at times. But they are ok for the most time. |
