| FREE PUPPY on Kijiji....... YORKIE PUPPY FOR FREE!!!!!! - South Florida Dogs & Puppies For Sale - Kijiji South Florida I responded to this ad last night, as I was more curious than anything else. It seemed too good to be true. I received a response this morning - The 'owners' are on missionary work in Africa with the puppy. They cannot keep her, so they are willing to fly her back to the US to anyone who wants her. She's only 11 weeks old!!!! My questions: You would rather risk shipping a young puppy back to the US rather than find a home for her there? They claim she is AKC registered, and have first set of shots....how? Was she born here in the US, then flown to Africa with you so young? THE CATCH: Puppy is free, but shipping is $200......seriously! Do people really fall for this? I mean, would someone really send $200 to a stranger, because of a story? Tell me what you all think..........

| ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I would not pay anything upfront. I would offer to sign a contract to pay for all shipping cost once the dog arrives. But I have a feeling they would have already suckered someone else. If they are TRUE missionary workers...then... they would go for the contract. This sound like a scam for sure. But that is JMHO I get letters weekly from people wanting money from Africa |

| FREE! Yeah right. If you consider all the huge vet bills later it is not free at all. How some people are that desperate I don't know. You send $200 and you will receive an I owe u bill. That just has scam written all over it.

| This sounds familar to me!! When I was looking for a puppy about 3 months ago, I contacted someone from a newspaper about 100 miles from me(through the intenet). The lady emailed me back & told me that she had gotten rid of the puppy but she said that someone she sold two of the puppies to was transferred to Africa & the weather was so harsh, they wasn`t going to keep the puppies.Well I emailed the person & they emailed me back & even sent 2 pictures. The person said the shipping would be about $600. for the 2 puppies(a boy & a girl) very good about it so I didn`t do it!I contacted another supposely breeder, & it was about the same story only the puppy was in the United Kingdom. I guess it`s all just a scheme!!!!!I guess you send them 600.00 & you never get a puppy!!! |

| SCAM Geez your would think the missionary thing would get old but they continue to use it. Stay away, run away and keep your money safe for a real puppy. Good luck in your search. |

| PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!! If they ask you to send the $200 via Western Union, then you know it's a SCAM. I had looked into a situation similar to this one earlier this year before I got Nikki. It sounded exactly the same.......$200 up front to ship......but the reason they couldn't keep the pup was because of a terminal illness. I did not send any money (with the counseling of my dear friend Connie who told me it was a scam) but they wanted the money sent via Western Union. I really believe that these people advertising the pup don't even live in this country. Remember.......if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

| Its sad how these people work so hard to take someone. They will use any excuse and any situations. I feel so sorry for someone that is so desperate to get a puppy they would do this and loose there money.

| It is a scam. The other scam is when they list a pup for say $300-$600 and when you call it's a minister who tells you that that pup was sold already but he has a parishiner who is on missionary work who has a littler and just wants a good home for her pups as there is no vet care where she is at. If you pay shipping and your refrences check out she'll ship the pup to you. So many scammers. This particular one even used a church telephone number in which you got his machine and asks for you to leave a message. Elaine |
