| Backyard Breeder?? Hey YT members. I found this website and would like to know what you guys think about this breeder. She has alot of dogs and alot of puppies to sell. Do you think she is a BYB or running a puppy mill or something? I hope not. The prices on her pups are not high, but it just seems like alot of puppies to be taking care of at one time. Let me know what guys think. Here is the website Yorkiepoo Puppies For Sale Arkansas Yorkiepoos For Sale in AR Yorkiepoo Breeder

| She is a BYB for sure, She has 8 males and 13 females listed on her page. Also she rasies then in an indoor.outdoor kennel. She might take alot of time and effort but she is for sure a byb. She isn't breeding to better the breed nor does she state anywhere on her page about health tests done to her males and females before breeding. She does sell with a one year garrentee, But I dont not thing she is doing it to better the breed. Just MHO

| What is the diffrence between registering APRI and AKC? I know AKC is the most popular and most recognized.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | She breeds mixes (Yorkiepoos), and it looks like a commercial kennel. I don't think that anyone that breeds on this scale and breeds mixes, is doing so for the "love of the breed", it's for the "love of the money".

| APRI is a dog registery that anyone can register their dogs with all you have to do is send in a picture and a checkand they do a record keeping of the dog you don't have to prove that a Yorkie is a Yorkie he just has to look like one. Most people that fall out of good graces with AKC offer that registery. Some people don't even register their dogs which is fine but I at least would like to know I have a pure Yorkie if that is what I paid for. AKC requires DNA testing on some I think it's after a certain number of breedings and APRI ask for a picture.

| Yes I seen that she donated the poor puppy. She is deffinatly not someone I would by a pup from. Her prices are small but the old saying sticks in my head with stuff like this....... "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR"

| I actually was going to get a puppy from here, because she did have ground transporation and I just didnt want to fly a little one. ( I am new to this so I didnt have all the information about BYB and puppy mills when I first started looking) So I had picked out a puppy and I thought that everything was fine because all I had to do was put down a deposit and then I didnt have to pay the rest of the money until the transportation company dropped off the puppy to me. Well all of a sudden the ground transportation company "closed down" so she said I would have to give her all of the money and she would fly the puppy to me. Well I told her no and that I wanted my deposit back. She did give me my money back, and I have been looking for a puppy ever since. But now that I know alittle bit more about BYB and such, I dont think my puppy would have been very healthy.

| The breeder is probably a very nice lady, she did give your deposit back and that says something. On the other hand I didn't see any parents that were anything but basic pet quality. Adding a new family member is a long term commitment and you can find a breeder with really good quality if you take your time and learn to recognize quality when you see it. If you find a great breeder and wait for the right puppy you'll probably be much happier in the long run. If I were going to have one shipped I would fly rather than use ground. If the puppy is healthy the plane trip is easier for them than 24-48 hours in a vehicle exposed to other dogs. Best of luck finding your furbaby!! |

Thank you! That does make sense, I never even thought about it that way. I just thought that traveling by ground would be easier, but I didnt even think about other dogs or even other kinds of animals being in the same truck with them. I do hope I can find a good breeder soon.

| I addition to the other red flags everyone else has mentioned, she only gives a two day health guarantee. That's a true sign of a "take your money and run" breeder. Speaking of running, I'd sure run from this breeder. |
