Actually, I think I saw a thread on YT stating that Wellness is now being carried by Petco! YAY!! Convenience and accessibility brings us one step closer to more folks being able to provide a good healthy diet for their babies!!

I have been giving Lily a spoonful of "Little Ceasar Puppy" in the morning but from what I have read here I think that isn't good? I did change her from the Purina Puppy Morsels that she was on when I got her to Canidae kibble. Is there any canned food that is actually good to give her?? She eats dry very good all day long but looks forward to her "treat" of something first thing in the morning!! THANKS

Well my vet and all of the vets within 1-2 hours of my town that I have been to or called suggest feeding Purina products, the sell different types in the vets office and they told me it was a good quality food to feed. Do any of you feed royal canine? Is it any good? And Eukanuba what do you think of it? Royal canine and some other products such as pedigree, purina, eukanuba are about the only brands I can find at any of the Petsmart, petcos, and petstores in my area.

I will check out that list a previous poster posted and see if any of my local pet stores have any of the foods on that list.

I also was worried about what to feed my babies. The more I researched.. the more confused I got. One of the wonderful YT ladies gave me this list. I emailed them and told them of the confusion and asked them to send samples so I could see what my babies would eat..

I started getting the samples about 3 days ago.. The food is wonderful and they love it! One of the companies sent me coupons because they were out of samples. I try just one at a time.. so I know if they like it and if there are any ill effects.. Here is the list. I think her name is on the bottom. good luck

Here's an example of what can (and does) constitute meat by-products.......Every day in the United States more than one hundred million pounds of dead animals and animal parts are shipped to rendering plants.

These plants are in the business of disposing of millions of pounds of dead dogs and other animals. The end product is then sold to manufacturers for use in their product formulas.

The dead animal parts to be rendered include but may not be limited to bones, feathers, undeveloped eggs, blood, tails, grease, spines, hooves, heads, stomachs and small intestines of dead animals.

There is also a category known as Dead, Dying, Diseased or Decayed animals. These also are rendered for use.

And some smaller rendering plants are not satisfied with this ingredient menu.

These plants have found a steady source of “material” to render in euthanized dogs from dog shelters.
These dogs have been killed and arrive at the rendering plant in a plastic bag, often with their collar and tag intact.

All of the “ingredients” listed above, including the euthanized dogs are used by minor and major commercial dog food manufacturers to be part of your dog’s daily diet.

In Los Angeles alone, two hundred tons of euthanized animals including dogs are delivered to rendering plants on a monthly basis. Almost seven million dogs and cats are killed in dog pounds each year. Many of these end up at rendering plants.

Having been injected with Phenobarbital to kill them, this toxic chemical remains in the dog as her carcass is rendered for addition to commercial dog food brands found in many large retail chains and markets.

So your dog will be eating other dogs when you fill her bowl with kibble or canned dog food. Not only is she eating her own so to speak, but she is also getting a daily dose of diseased animal parts and Phenobarbital, a euthanizing agent.

Is it any wonder that the average life expectancy of dogs in the United States is only 10 years but would increase to 24 years or more if their dog food was really healthy, and not a toxic poison!

Wow! I had no idea. I am glad I am using healthy dog food now. Thanks. It makes you sick to think what is in some of the dogfood.
