| Need Help! Charlie peed on my couch..ughh!! I am so annoyed. Charlie is housetrained or at least I thought he was. He was neutered on Wed. and everything went great. He is always on the couch and loves to cuddle with us, so why did he pee on it?? He has never peed on our furniture before, I don't get it and I am very irritated. He is 10 months old and is potty trained. The smell is awful, has anyone had this happen to them, if so what did you do to make sure it didn't happen again?? Help, please!!! |

| Poor Charlie, you and the couch! I don't have experience with this, sorry, but I have heard about people talk about dogs regressing and have incontinence issues after being spay/neutered. I'm sure he didn't do it intentionally and he will regain his bladder control soon, or was it an intentional peeing? Either way - about the smell, what do the cleaning instructions say on the other side of one of the cushions? Do you have a spot bot? That's the worst. Good luck with everything. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

| I don't know if it was intentional, all I know is it happened sometime this morning, right on the arm part of my couch. He seems to be controlling his urine very well, no inside accidents since the surgery. |

| That really wasn't long ago... Quote:
Clean off the spot with a good pet stain/odor remover, and just keep a close eye on him to see if he's about to do it again. If he seems to be, take him outside or to his papers if he's paper trained. If it continues, take him back to the vet to see if he's having trouble holding his urine. It's not likely that he had any permanent damage from neutering. He may just be a little po'd at you, or he may be having trouble holding it while he's healing. | |
