In the bible it says one of Gods greatest gifts is"love". Therefore, why would he take away something that we love so much and that loves us unconditionally.

Maybe a more literal answer than you were after but The bible said that the lion will lay with the lamb. It says in Isaiah "The wolf and the lamb shall feed together,
also "The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together; and a little child shall lead them"
those words come straight from the bible. It also says God knows if a sparrow falls from the sky. In a few places God makes a covenant with the animals. One of those is not to harm a human being. For that God punishes and animal.
so, if it says all these things. He speaks to them, he loves them and of course they are in heaven. He speaks of them there.
I could not imagine God creating these wonderful creatures and them not being with us.

Not trying to be funny, but the dog wasn't even around when the bible was written, yorkies were even around when our country was founded. In a way the Yorkie is kind of a combination of the wolf and lamb.

Well, if you believe that we are ALL God's creatures (man and beasts alike!) then of course

I believe that ALL living things have souls. Any religion that would teach that animals don't have souls is something I don't want any part of.

I guess we have to be careful in this thread or it might be construed as a religious debate. I just wanted to add that who really knows what the soul is, but we do know that, according to the bible, only humans can sin, so I guess we can't say for certain that animals will go to heaven, but they certainly can't go to hell.

I do believe that domestic dogs were definitely around when at least part of the bible was written because at Moses' time they were already using dogs to help protect the flocks and the Egyptians before that time+ had dogs that were like the modern Pharaoh hound and Italian greyhounds. In several places in the Bible I think they do mention dogs as well. The only one I can think of right now is the story of Jezebel and in Psalms I think it says something like "they make a noise like a dog". I do know that yorkies are a more modern breed, but I'm pretty positive that domestic dogs WERE around during the Bible's time because people used them in their fields to watch their flocks, for hunting and as companions. Doesn't matter but though I'd mention it.

Also, lets not forget that Christianity isn't the only religion in the world (or possibly here on YT) that believes in a heaven of some sort (although I am Christian) and many of those also believe that dogs will join us there, but I'm sure not all believe this.

Oh, I COMPELTELY believe that dogs etc will be in heaven because as so many others have said, it wouldn't be heaven without them.
