So glad to hear she came through the surgery well, I bet your so relieved. Maggy May will be going in on the 8th for her spay, I talked to the doc the other day when I took her in for all her blood work and I asked him about using the onesie on her instead of the E collar and he said that would be just fine and has actually found that they are a lot more comfortable with the onesies instead of the E-collar. He's done many spays on small breeds and has gotten lots of feedback on lil ones who's Mommas put onesies on them. I just wanted to ask him to make for sure and he said it would be just fine.

I'm glad she came through it all okay, and I agree with the others. If she's that miserable and you're right there to watch her, why not give the onesie a try?

I think I might tomorrow. Ill give her 2 days with the stupid cone!

One thing that concerns me is that she keeps licking her leg like crazy. I woke up to some of her hair on the floor which I'm assuming is from licking. Any advice? Should I put bitter spray on it??

I personally wouldn't put bitter spray on it, I think that's just made to spray on objects like floors, furniture etc. If your regular vet isn't open with it being the 4th of July, you might try calling an Emergency vet and asking them about spraying it ON her and see what they say. If her skin is irritated to the point where she's licked the fur off of it, it may sting or hurt her skin, plus with her just being spay she's probably not feeling to hot to her tummy, it may make her puke. What part of her leg is she licking at? Front leg, back leg? If she still has the E-collar on she shouldn't be able to lick at her legs easily.

She hasn't licked at it since around 6 this morning but it was her back right leg near the top of it. She maneuvered it into her e collar!
