The scams and scammers are bad but I feel that if you think you can get something for nothing, i.e. a yorkie for $300, you need to learn a lesson!! Everyone knows there is no free lunch!!

If you're interested in this, you can simply post a "Yes" in this thread, and I'll let you know how to go about it. Please understand that it takes some time and commitment, and you will not be saving any dogs. There are no dogs to save. What you'd be saving is the people who are looking for a Yorkie and are too trusting and uneducated about the scams to realize what they're doing until they've already lost money "buying" a non-existent dog.

I'll help any way I can. I hate those scams, too.

There are a lot of people out there who are very gullible or who just want a pretty little pet to love and don't even have an idea how much they would reasonably cost. If you think $300 is a "free lunch," it's not. That's a lot of money to some people. Some people are lucky to be able to spend that at the grocery store in a month.

Sounds like you think there should be a lot of lesson-learning, and that this "lesson" should come from being scammed out of hard-earned money, just so these people will know not to make the same mistake twice, but that they should make it at least once to learn the lesson. How kind.

Don't stop trying to stop them !!! I heard on the news the other day a woman was convicted and sentenced for 2 years for her part in a nigerian scam - YAY !! FINALLY someone got what was coming to them -

but there are thousands more out there -

There are elderly being scammed - pet lovers - all sorts of people & all sorts of scams

many people on the net don't know the red flags (like those 'free' puppies and you only pay shipping scams) ....so really it's up to those who ARE aware of it to help others......

I read an ad in our local newspaper earlier this week that said. TWO 10 WEEK OLD MALE YORKIE PUPS FREE TO GOOD HOME. there was no phone number just an e mail address. I was curious so I e-mailed the address. I got a response from the person saying they were now in the hands of a man that was leaving for Africa very soon. I was given his e-mail address so again I e-mailed but got no response yet. I think this is a scam but I didnt get enough info. to pass it on to anyone...
