| bangs!@$#& Alright.....I want to grow Captain Jacks face out long, especially his top knot and nose. His hair is sticking all in his eyes and the groomer in me is just itching to grab my clippers and fix it. I always shaved Max's stop (the area above the nose, between the eyes) and kept it looking neat. But I really like the way it looks all grown out! For you guys whose babies have full topknots...how did you cope until it was long enough to stay up? He is only almost 8 weeks so it's gonna be awhile! I'm thinking about just slicking it out of his eyes with topknot gel. I don't care if it looks bad, I just wanna be able to see his eyes! Thanks!

| Not much you can do other than just wait it out. You may want to get some topknot gel to sort of slick it back and hold it in place some. Other than that, just grit your teeth and be patient. |

| We waited ,& waited, & waited for Darla`s to grow out. She`s only 5 1/2 mths. Those pesky hairs kept poking her eyes & wasn`t long enough to put up.(Someone told me to use a tad of Vaseline to help hold them)Then took her to the groomer to get her back, feet, & etc. trimmed. I told the groomer not to touch any of her face or bangs!!!!What did she do ??? She shaved between her nose & trimmed her bangs!!!So her we go again....

| It does take forever....I've had Sydney since Febuary, and we just now can pull it up into a ponytail to keep outta her eyes. To short still for a pretty topknot, but at least I can see her eyes. My hubby wants to cut it off so she can see....what's he thinking??? He thinks she looks like the sheepdog off of the Roadrunner cartoon. She does when it's down! It's pretty cute tho

| It takes a while!!! I think by about 4.5 months, Mia was able to have a sufficient topnot. Since Mia's eyes tend to water a lot while playing outside, BF's mom seems to think the hair should hang down to protect her eyes. She asks me over and over "don't you think that hair should cover her eyes?" She said "why don't you let me cut it" I DON'T THINK SOOOOO! I'm leaving Mia with her for 8 days while we are on vacation.... if she cuts her hair I'm going to be livid!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I cut that little hair in a "V" for the longest time, and started growing it out a few months ago, wish I had done so from the beginning. Someone recommended Pet Silk dog topknot gel, and I love it; it really keeps the short hairs in place. I found mine on E-bay Pet Silk dog top knot gel for bow placement GREAT! - eBay (item 370018721746 end time May-21-08 09:08:41 PDT)
