| I agree..go get her! Kennel cough isn't gonna cause any long term problems. My friend's dog got it and now is healthy as a horse--and just as big!!!

| I have owned large and small breeds of dogs from German Shepherds, Labradors, Cairn terriers, jack Russells etc, Dottie is the smallest !!! and during spells in Boarding Kennels they have sometimes picked up Kennel Cough and really it is no biggy, vets to confirm diagnosis and either over the counter cough medicine or antibiotics, it is apparently a droplet infection that can easily be picked via droplets deposited by infected dogs saliva and passed on it is quite common . I agree with all the above rise to the challenge and love that little pup spoil her and keep her warm and in no time at all she'll be on the mend, xxxx Annie XXXX |

When the vet said to keep an eye on her, I think he just meant to look at her occasionally and try to notice any symptoms; I don't think he meant she needed 24 hour a day guard. I mean to ask, God "why me", this just isn't that serious. It sounds like something else is going on here.

| Please don't exchange her you don't know what they may do with her, she might not get the medical attention she needs or may just put her to sleep to not have to deal with it

So the only thing that you are concerned about is the Kennel Cough? Since it is highly contagious, I would think the other dogs might have it too. I know I would rather treat Joey myself, than him being in a kennel environment or even a hospital, unless it was absolutely necessary. Quote:
