| My Mia is gone. I am so sad and upset. I left my babies Jack (11 months) and Mia (4 months) with my ex husband while I went out of town for work. Yesterday he had the babies outside with him in his yard. It was around 5:30 pm. My ex was washing his chow when a coyote came up out of no were and grabbed my Mia. The chow chased the coyote down and killed it but it was too late for my baby. I can't belive how much it hurts. I am having a hard time forgiving him for letting it happen but I know that it was an accident. I will be going home tonight and will pick up Jack. My ex says Jack has been crying for Mia since it happened. I hope he (Jack) will feel better once I get home and can be with him. Betty |

| It happens around here too where a wild critter takes off with a yorkie pup, I've had coyotes and foxes come out of my woods and be right by my deck. I try to be sooo careful with my 9 year old JD whom thinks he's a hunter and not afraid of larger sized animals. I feel for you and your pup Jack.. I'm so sorry this happened to you!!

| I'm so sorry for you! It's hard when they're under the care of someone else and something like this happens. But I'm sure your ex was not being negligent; it's just a terrible accident, and maybe could have happened almost anytime he was outdoors. A friend here had a coyote in her back yard and she's got a fence (wall actually) around her back yard; the coyote jumped over it, which I didn't realize they could do. I'm sure your ex feels terrible about it too, but my heart goes out to you.

| I'm so sorry for your loss. We've had coyotes in our yard too and it scares me to death. A section of my back is fenced in but I know they can jump. I never let Scooter out by himself.
