| DOes SIZE matter????? LOL When should I expect my yorkie to be fully grown? She is 6 1/2 months right now and she is 6.5 pounds. How large can I expect her to get? Or when will she be her adult size? |

She may reach 7lbs but most of the time for yorkies once they hit 6 months they're done growing. | |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey gained over a 1 1/2 pounds between his six month weight and his 1 1/2 year weight, so it varies. They usually stop growing at 1 1/2 years. At 6 months, he was 4lbs 2 ounces now he's a trim 5 pounds 10 ounces.

| Deegan was about the same size at 6 months (5-6lbs). He kept growing 'til he was about a year and a half and finally topped off at 7.5lbs!! I wanted a small pup, but I'm happy how things turned out cause this way I don't have to worry about him as much... he flies up and down the stairs on his own, he can get on and off the couch & beds just fine and since my boyfriend likes to roughhouse a bit with him it's good too.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | What kills me is that I thought Joey would get no bigger than 4 pounds 4 ounces; he was 2 pounds 2 ounces at 12 weeks. At 6 months, we decided to completely redo the steps leading off the balcony to the outside. We made them much wider and enclosed the back of each because he was just too small for the steps. Of course right after that he had his growth spurt, and pretty much "flies" down the steps now.

| I'd say that she's probably almost done growing. Chip was like 7.5 lbs at 6 months and he's 8 lbs now. We got Smokey when he was 6 months and he hasn't grown at all since we brought him home.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | No size doesn't matter! And, just to try and help you out some, my little Stedman stopped growing at around 6 months of age - after that, I think he only filled out some. All babies are different and some grow for longer amounts of time than others, but your baby could possibly be pretty much (or almost anyway) done growing They CAN grow for longer....it really all just depends on the baby

| Derby is 8 months and still growing. My vet told me to expect him to keep growing until about 10 months of age. I do think it varies from dog to dog.
