| our breeder lives only about 10 minutes from my house and we happened to find her when nugget and his 4 littermates were only 1 week old. we were lucky enough to become very good friends with her and visited nugget atleast twice a week till he was ready to go home. it was great because we got to handle nugget and the other 4(3 girls, 2 boys total) and start teaching him his name and our sent. i think this formed such a great bond between us! we payed $200, with all his papers and hours of talking with the breeder and getting info on caring for him. our breeder owned both the mother and father, an older male that was her husbands(past away about 10 years ago), a 9 month old petite lil female from her last litter, and of course the pups. ill attach a pic of nugget and kendra(nuggetsmom) @ about 5 weeks and his father "winston" from when we were visiting nugget at our breeders home back in april |

| We paid $1500. Our breeder is about 2 hours from us in NJ. My husband freaked when he heard the price but I just wanted him so much! Hubby can never say no to me.

| Angel was $1100 with shipping and Prince was $600 with shipping. Quite a difference in price but both are perfect.

| Where in VA? I live in VIrginia and don't know of any breeders out here. Well I know there are some, but I only learned of them recently. I tried so hard to find a yorkie breeder out here that would be able to help me when angel gave birth. Sadly, I couldn't find even one

| Near Richmond. I could get her name and phone number. I am not sure I would recommend her though. She never gave us the AKC papers as promised. She told us Gracie would be 5 pounds and that we could show her. Gracie is 8 pounds and has cottony hair and her back is not straight so we could never show her. Now, that said, I never had any intention of showing her and I would not trade her for a billion dollars, but seems to me the breeder should not make such statements and certainly should have given us the AKC papers especially when she charged so much for a dog that is no where near the breed standard. Also, we had no idea what to look for when we were looking for our first yorkie. Now we know so much more and would do things differently. Live and learn. But we have our girl and she is worth the world to us.

OH MY! That's terrible! Sounds like yet another person out to make a buck. Im glad that your baby is doing well though. That's what's important. If this woman is what you say she is then I dont wanna associate myself with her.

| My first Maltese was from a BYB and was 350.00 (15 years ago) My current Maltese was 1500.00, a male that I drove 4 hours one way to get. My other current Maltese was 2300, a male and had him flown to me from Oregon. My yorkie mix girl was a rescue (she was on her way to the pound), she was technically "free", but after having her for 3 months we have already spent over 1200.00 in vet bills, (and counting) |

| The breeder I got Rams from in Sulfer Springs wanted 600.00 for him, but since the hair on his snout was real short she took 100.00 off.. I still would have paid 600.0 because he is a sweet heart! |

| We drove about an hour to pick Callie up...and I didn't really have to pay for her. The people that gave her to us took one of our adult mastiffs and gave me Callie. She is by far the best anniversary pressent I have ever gotten!!
