Yorkie Talker | Our 1st Yorkie Pup will be home soon! Hi! Our little Lincoln "Link" will be coming home some time next week. We are so excited! I have a couple of questions...which is best a plastic carrier/crate or a cage/crate? And where should it be kept? We have a 2 story home all bedrooms upstairs. Eventually we want him to sleep in a cushioned bed next to our bed at night. The crate, I guess, should be placed down stairs because that is where we are most of the time. That just seems so far away for night time. Help! Thank you, Wendy ~ Lincolnsmom |

| I have plastic...we keep one downstairs and one upstairs on a nightstand next to our bed. I also use an xpen downstairs for when i cant watch her but dont necessarily want her to be in a crate. She has her potty papers in there and toys, water, and a bed. It has worked well for us that way with both Oliver, when he was little, and with Brooklyn. Brooklyn doesnt spend a lot of time in her xpen anymore as the pottying outside is doing well. (we have a doggie door) Good luck and congratulations on your pup!

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | congratulation on your new baby. I would put her on the crate at night as well. MAybe you can move it up and down or get two crates. If you put her on a bed at night she will start walking around and pee all over your house, and the stairs can also be dangerous. |

| Congrats! We have the Petmate kennel cabs and they are on an ottoman next to the bed at night. During the day when we our out. We have a regular baby playpen and we have another crate inside of that. Alot of people use xpens! Good luck!!
