I have been looking for a red yorkie for some time now (2 years),, and only found 1 around here. I have found some on the net but I am not willing to have a puppy shipped. They wanted 3,500 for the one I found close by, but just could not aford it. I ended up finding Gus and fell inlove. But I always have my eyes open for a red one. I know I will find one sooner or later. I just hope I am able to aford her when I do find her.

I want a red one too, but Ramsey is such a hand full now. I'm not sure I could handle another. especially since I will be moving out of my parents house soon.

Don't drive yourself crazy trying to find a red Yorkie.
If it's meant to be, she'll find you.

lol!! julz those new pics of mercedes today!!! she is so beautiful! i really just love her!! i would say keep mavrick, don't break your hubby's heart. of course if you do decide to sell him....... jk.

What did Mercedes parents look like? Were they both black and tan? Is red one of those strange genetic things that just happens?

Someday in the future (I want one now...but the fiance wants to wait) when I get Sydney a little sister...I want one that looks very different from her so I am interested in getting a chocolate or a red. I know that chocolate is one of those strange genetic things, but I was wondering about the red color.

Mercedes parents are both standard colored. As a matter of fact, my Mom bred her 3 Yorkie females with the same male and got all standard colored puppies. I could breed Tiah with him over and over and maybe never get another red one. It was just a fluke genetic overload of the red genes. Mercedes dad lives in a kennel and the owner keeps him shaved down for easier care. I will attach a photo. He is very little and makes Tiah look like a St. Bernard puppy! There is also a picture of Tiah with the puppies from last week. Her tan color is pretty reddish, but she was totally a standard colored puppy.

Who wouldn't want one of those beauties? Like many, I have watched the babies grow up and am so in love with them! I fell in love with whisper, and now mercedes but I really want a rescue. If I ever get rich I'll buy all you guys the yorkie of your dreams and I'll have a yorkie ranch crammed full of those baby dolls!

ok you know what, I'M DYING NOW!!!! i need to have one! since they're like an accident, so i don't even know where you could really find one. this is KILLING me!!
