| Is my Yorkie Part Cat? Hi everyone! Is it just me or do Yorkies have more "unique" traits about them compared to other small breed dogs? For example, my Cinderella does that cute tongue sticking out thing for starters. I have read about many our Yorkies doing that here on this forum. Then, well, she does this high pitch scream when she can't get what she wants. Literally sounds like she's being skinned alive! She also makes this noise now when she see's other dogs passing by on the street. Well, here's a new one I'll throw out on this forum. Cinderella will grind up next to wall corners and staircases like a cat. She'll go right up next to it like she's purring and go back and forth. I used to wonder if her back was itchy or something? Ha, ha....she just did this on the back our couch just now as I'm typing. Ok...so she's doing this on any hard surface.... Anyone else's Yorkie do such a perculiar thing? Cinderella is one weird dog. My chihuahua is starting to look more and more like a normal dog every day compared to Cinderella. A chihuahua! |

| Boss has very cat-like tendencies but I first noticed this with my other Yorkie....Boss does the cat rub, and his little bark/whine sounds more like he's in pain and scares me.....I know of like the way he is, I was say who's my little "cadog" |

| Cinderella sounds cute as a button. My two dont do that but they do have pecular things they do. I do think yorkies are a unique breed. Also from my experience with my two and reading on here I think all yorkies are different from one another in the things they do

| That's so cute! My Cola does the exact same thing. What I hate is when he does it on my and he scratches me like crazy. I still totally love him though. Let's see, he also dries himself off with a towel whenever he gets done with a bath. He'll roll himself all over the towel on the floor until he gets dry.

| Nope, Bailey doesn't do the cat rub, but she snorts and grunts like a pig.... I guess that makes her a pigdog?

| I forgot another weird, yet cute trait that my Cinderella has. She makes these guinea pig noises when I pick her up or when she is giving me kisses. What a whacko! She's part crazy yorkie, part cat, and part guinea pig! I don't think I'm missing out any animals... |

| Well no cat rubbing in this house. But we have Cali the youngest one of the yorkies and she is 6 mos. She has always done that whining thing that sounds like someone is killing her. I hate that noise it really scares me sometimes and I think she is being hurt. She is the whiniest of all and I don't know why. My other yorkie Cinnamon does something I call her chipmunk noise. Now that one I like I can laugh at.

| We have the cat-like-rubbing...and the need to lay in the highest point of the room to take a nap... quite un-nerving!
