The Hunte Corp. Website I just did a Google search for The Hunte Corp. and found their website. A disgusting fact I didn't previously know: their motto is "doing what's right" Are you kidding me? It also looks like they have a "Jesus fish" (sorry, I don't know that offical name for the symbol) next to their name. I know that this symbol is used for religious meaning. If you go on the website and click on the Take a Tour link, there is a cute yorkie puppy next to the 5 minute video link. Their whole website is sickening. There isn't a whole lot of substance to it, but each page has a picture of a cute puppy and a stupid quote from Andrew Hunte. Notice their "fleet" to transport puppies consists of 18-wheelers! Here is their website link: http://www.thehuntecorporation.com/

"When Andrew Hunte created The Hunte Corporation, he vowed he would spare no expense or effort to provide pet retailers and their customers with the happiest, healthiest puppies around." Ha! Yea right... What a bunch of B.S.

Yes, they really do a good job of making their operation look good. I think they appeal to the mass of people who, unlike us, think it is okay to reat dogs like animals similar to sheep, cows, etc. I am really beginning to think that is the difference. I think they are still in business because under USDA guidelines nothing they are doing is considered "cruel". In my opinion, in order to put them out of business you would have to get the majority of the country's population to believe as strongly as we do about the proper way to treat a dog and change the laws. If the laws stay the way they are, the Hunte Corporation will stay profitable and there is no way the USDA will do anything.

People who aren't educated about puppymills would think that website is a good one. They make everything seem great. The puppies they showed in the video are cute and clean and it seems like a very well run facility. I didn't know anything about puppymills before I joined YT. To be quite honest, if I came across that website before I knew of YT I probably would've considered getting a puppy from there because they really seem like they care. I'm glad that I know all of you. You guys have helped me tremendously when it comes to puppymills and bad breeders. Yeah, we seen good looking puppies and the staff seems very professional, but what they didn't show us were the sick puppies. The sick mommies and daddies of these puppies and the filthy kennels and cages that these poor dogs live their lives in. It makes me sick to my stomach to know that these people actually buy these dogs, and even sicker to know that the people who run this facility thinks that it's OK.

Please correct me if I'm wrong- I realize you can't believe everything you read on the interent. I read that a Board member from AKC went to some meeting held by the Hunte Corp. and congratulated them on how they're doing business. Here is the link: Hunte Corp and AKC Board member In that link I also read that the Hunte Corp got a federal loan from the USDA to buid their new building. So, indirectly, we all lent the Hunte Corp money for that building to be built? If anyone does a Google search for THC, the first site is a testimonial from 4-H member on how wonderful the Hunte Corp is and how well the animals are treated. I would think that parents would see through the frou-frouness of that organization and protest their children going there for a group trip. The girl mentioned that all of the puppies recieved personal attention and that there were something like 10 or 20 people there attending to the dogs at all times. If my calculations are correct: If there are 500 dogs and 20 people working, that means that each peson would have to attend to 25 dogs in a 7 1/2 hour shift. That means that each dog gets less than 20 minutes of personal attention a day. That's assuming that those 20 people are doing nothing but loving on dogs- no cleaning, no feeding. That hardly seems like a nuturing enviornment for these dogs to be in when you really think about it.
