| .... Im a terrible mom. Im trying to avoid it but I know I should get on it. I'm going to be looking around for other vets and see what happens. Hes become very aggressive and guarding a lot. Which makes me a very angry mommy. His trainer is giving me exercises to do with him but I dont think its working .. so Im wondering if and when I do get him neutered, will this behavior end.... ugh its so stressful finding a vet for him....

| Yeah...I know, my expereince wasn't soo great, so I don't blame you!!! supposedly it is supposed to make them much calmer....I was talking to a man the other day who works with us and he was saying how in Ecuador they neuter the really aggressive dogs to calm them...but I'm not sure how effective that is....AND this is gonna sound REALLY crazy..or maybe it's normal but the other day when he woke up his privates looked hard and it still looked like he had a sacful down there???..I dont know, my bf was joking that they jipped us!!

| My normal vet said $406.00 for the surgery...but I have heard others got it done for like 150.00-200.00.....in NYC or Brooklyn area so I don't know. I probably would of just gone for the regular way now...for comfort value....I don't know what a scapel surgery looks like so I can compare...but all Maximus has is a little line...that scabbed and then of course he had to pick at it like 20 times and keep pulling the scab off, but it is almost healed...just a little red still....I don't know much about the other way ....but I didn't want to leave him overnight and my vet wanted him for 2 nights...I was like you are charging me 406.00 and you want him for 2 NIGHTS...NO WAY!!!

It's $35.00 here for knife surgery or $50.00 for laser. This is done in the vets office. Same price for spay too. Angel is getting spayed this friday...laser (in 2 days).

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I'm going to have Trace neutered, but I'm confused. I have never owned a male dog, but have had numerous male cats. Now when they neuter a cat, they simply slice their sac and remove the testicles. There weren't any stitches or they were the invisable ones. From these posts this doesn't sound like what's done to dogs. I've discussed neutering with the vet, but since I thought I knew the procedure, didn't actually ask what's done.......soooooo......what's done to male dogs?
