| My little Physco Any suggestion????? My little Jazzi turns into quite the wild woman when I get out the brush. She loves to bathe but HATES what comes after!! I never had any problems brushing her until after I took her to the groomers for the first time and ever since she shows her teeth, growls and bites the brush. Because of this I am afraid to take her back to the groomers as I dont want anyone to abuse her because she gets soooo crazy! She has Never bite me but she sure does take her feelings out on the brush. I have been VERY persistant and have been brushing her every evening. She is getting better but when I go to brush her belly feet or face the craziness comes out. She needs to be groomed as I have been trimming her eyebrows and hiney but she needs a little more and besides Im not real good at it. Plus she doesnt speak to me for several hours after I have brushed her! HELP!!!!!!

| I know exactly what you are talking about....I got some advice from fellow YTers not long ago....one of them told me to bring the brush out during the day and just lay it on the floor with other toys to let them get used to seeing it more and that way they can sniff it out and do what they need to do to get comfortable with it....not sure if it will work but my Bandit is getting alot better about the brush now. And about the groomers....i've heard that since it is easy to hurt these little ones that if they do have one bad experience with grooming they wont forget it. so def. take your time with it....let her get used to it on her terms....there could be many reasons for the behavior...i'm no expert JMO. Good luck...maybe somebody else will have more info for you!!

| I have two brushes, currently. I allow suzi to chew and bite one of them, and then brush her with the other I also try and use treats to distract her. She hates being brushed all together, and she still is a puppy |

| I have tried the treats, but that doesnt work for her. She likes to dig a "hole" to china in the carpet and hide her treats for later snacking. LOL I will try giving her the other brush to terrorize while I brush her with the other. Thanks

| Oh, my! You'll just have to be as gentle as you can be while doing it. You might try to do it outside once in awhile so she will have something to look at while you're doing it. Be creative. Mine hates me to touch her face and chest, but she just stands up on her hind legs and takes her little front paws and waves them at me like she's saying, "No, mom." The only alternative is a very short haircut.

| pebbles whines when I brush her if her hair gets pulled even just a bit... recently i have started giving her treats when she is quiet and praising her for being quiet and it seems to have calmed her down some |
