| When can he breed? I do not know much about breeding...so i am not doing it right now, or in the near future (so please dont freak when i ask) How old does the male yorkie need to be before he can do the nasty? Chewy gets excited but his lipstick doesnt pop out...he is 8 months old, from what i read it should happen between 8mon and a year....when has this happened for your dog? also i heard that some dogs cant get it into the female dog and will just go threw the motions...has this happened to your dog? and how can u fix that (if u can at all)?

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I don't know much about breeding either, but here's two links that I suggest you read. It's probably not a very good idea to breed your dog, unless he is one of the finest examples of the breed there is. Then perhaps, he should become a "working" dog instead of a pet. After you do your research, you may find that having your dog stay just a pet is preferable because once they start to breed they are no longer as interested in you, but more interested in mating. I think doing the nasty is called "mating" or "tying." Reproduction and sex in dogs and cats Breeding Your Dog
