If you're for real - sorry but not really - I don't feel any different - cats are quiet & just what you should think of getting if it's that bad for you that you want to muzzle a dog - If you didn't come here to jack with people - do your dog a favor and find a good home with someone who won't mind a little barking.

I don't think this is real...but my Yorkies don't really bark that much.

Some of them are a little worse than others, but for the most part they ONLY bark if I have to put them up to go somewhere. If they're out with me they're happy and have no reason to do it unless the doorbell rings or something. And I have much more than 1 dog...so I know if it's relatively quiet here, then you can keep 1 baby under control.

EXACTLY! Muzzles are to prevent bites... not barks! In fact... if a muzzle is tight enough to prevent your dog from barking, then it is too tight and you are probably making breathing more difficult, hence it's dangerous. There should be enough room for a dog to lightly pant when wearing a muzzle. If a dog can pant... then it would be able to bark.

I agree with everyone here. All dogs bark, our puppies bark, but we teach them to be quiet when we feel they shouldn't be barking. You just need to TRAIN your dog. Having a mussle isn't right, I would never do that. I can't even get one of those noise things in the house that is suppose to make a high pitch noise when your dog barks.

so ....what do you do that people can't hear a dog bark on their end ? ya I'm nosy I know - but wondering what on earth you can do from home for work that goes TEN hours straight ? (I still think this is a bait thread) but what the heck - just to see the answer it was worth posting again

Whatever, using a pronoun such as "he", "she", "him", her"... isn't using a name but at least giving proper respect. Plus, it doesn't make any sense why you wouldn't want to say your dog's name. You think we're gonna be able to hunt you down by knowing your yorkie's name?... unfortunately, we cannot.

I'm not sure if this post is real or not, but I've read so many strange things on this forum. First of all, we are trying to tell you that this is a poor idea. You can teach the dog not to bark. You may not eliminate all barking, but you can reduce it dramatically. The "pennies in a can" trick worked for Joey, but you will need to practice when you can give him your attention. Why is your dog barking; do you know the reason? They usually have different barks for different situations, and are really trying to communicate with you.
