| 5mo old coat questions Chewie is coming up on 5mo old and his coat is still mostly just fluff on his body and straight on his face. Even the straight hair isnt very long. Could he just end up having a shorter coat than most yorkies or he just not old enough?

| He is still pretty young. They are all different and he might be a slow grower or he may have a softer coat. My 2 1/2 year old stayed dark on her back until she was 2 and she change to the blue it seemed like over night. She has a mixture of a soft and silky coat texture, sometimes mats easy but grows pretty well. My older girl coat seems to grow slower tangles but mats less. Be patient and I am sure it will start growing very soon. Congratulations and enjoy your new baby.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Roxie was like that too. I got her at 4 months and she is now 8 months and finally starting to get longer hair. My others seemed to grow faster.

| Baxter is 5 months old. His hair is growign pretty well. He's getting trimmed for the summer on Friday. He got pretty matted after the neutering surgery. He felt so bad I just hated to brush him. He hates it. His hair on his head is straight and silky. The rest of him is just wild. I hope cutting off the puppy hair is goign to help. |
