Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | ![]() Okay.........surgeries are all done and everyone is fine. Toby had to have 9 baby teeth pulled ![]() We were able to go ahead and bring Lexie home with us. Her spay surgery was a bit more involved than Tobys', so she's still a bit out of it, but is resting comfortably in the comforts of home, rather than in a strange place at the vets clinic. We will watch her carefully this evening & tonight and she WILL be baby'd and pampered for as long as need be. WHEW! Glad that's over with. We've seen the vet alot this year what with Toby arriving in January, Halle in March, Lexie being under the weather, Lucky had his yearly shots & teeth cleaned.............hopefully we're done for a while! ![]()

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | ![]() .......... Lexie & I slept in the spare bedroom on an air mattress on the floor so there was no chance of her jumping on or off our bed. She spent part of the night in a doggie bed, then ended up on the mattress with me. I heard her whimper a few times just a little and patted her for comfort and thought to myself as I lay there........"Now what if she were alone in a cage at the vet's office whimpering with no one to comfort her?" I'm so glad I was able to bring her home with me. Anyway, she a a little breakfast before we went to work. I left her alone in the spare bedroom so the others would not bother her. When we got home, she was obviously feeling MUCH better & very excited to get out of that room! She's still not 100%, but better enough that I have to watch her as she's WANTING to jump up on things. Toby has had no problems whatsoever coming back from having his 9 baby teeth pulled. He's eating good and wrestling around with Halle & Lucky like nothing ever happened.

Getting 9teeth pulled, OUCH ![]() ![]() My Suzi is still a baby, and i keep tossing the idea of having her spayed, but too chicken, I am so afraide to put her through all of that, but, perhaps when she is bigger and older. ![]() Last edited by mscat; 06-10-2008 at 04:14 PM. |

| ![]() Rose, I just now saw this. I'm so glad they both did well and I'm so happy that you were able to bring Lexi home with you. I've already talked to my vet about when we have Abby spayed and I told him that I would be bringing her home with me and he agreed that she would do better at home. When we had Misty spayed, she was being boarded for the weekend, so this will really be my first experience with a spay. Chloe had an emergency hyterectomy and also stayed overnight. They were a lot bigger than Abby, so I didn't worry nearly as much. We're waiting until Abby is a year old to have her spayed to see if her hernia corrects itself. She had bilateral hernias and one is already gone! YEAH!!! Anyway... Hugs to Toby and Lexy ![]() Love from Abby and Daisy ![]() ![]()

![]() And since the females are a little more complicated than a male neuter, I think it will be better for them to be confined. She will probably sleep most of the time anyway. That's basically what Madison is doing. He didn't even want any food or water (but he did eat some food when I took it over to him). My biggest fear was just him making it thru the surgery, so after that, it's ALL GOOD ![]()
