Then on top of that, we have to work tomorrow and won't be able to pick her up until later in the day rather than earlier. I've tossed a few options in my mind; will she be calmer there kenneled to keep her quiet & still for her incision or kenneled at home. Yes she would be amongst family, but also maybe not quite as calm wanting to be out with the others. The fact that there is no one there overnight makes me think, "What's the point of staying then?", but she probably would get more restful rest not being around the others here at home. She's normally so wild and crazy, she wouldn't want to sit still for long being here.
Right????? or not????

Thanks everyone for your prayers! What a great support group we have here on YT!
Awww, I know how you feel! I just picked up Madison from his neutering...and I think it's probably better that she stay there over night. Madison got Morphine for pain b/c they didn't want to chance the NSAID with his tummy problem, and he's easily roused, but sleeps when undisturbed. The only thing is, if Max jumps up and runs out to another room barking, so does Madison..just runs like nothing ever happened! And the last words they said to me as I was leaving was "no exercise for 4-5 days.
And since the females are a little more complicated than a male neuter, I think it will be better for them to be confined. She will probably sleep most of the time anyway. That's basically what Madison is doing. He didn't even want any food or water (but he did eat some food when I took it over to him).

My biggest fear was just him making it thru the surgery, so after that, it's ALL GOOD. I'm sure your little one will be fine and happy to see you when you pick her up! Plus, you'll probably be able to sleep a little better tonite knowing she's not getting into any trouble! Good luck!
