I don't know about "spirits" or anything like that, but whenmy Dad passed recently, we stayed in Hospice care with him. Cordell, who NEVER would sleep anywhere but beside me or on me, laid down next to my Dad and wouldn't move. Not even when I would get up. For the last two days of my Dads life, that precious little dog of mine comforted my Dad (or I like to think so) with his presence. Dad was always an animal lover. Always. As soon as Dad passed, Cordy knew it, and went to my husband, who picked him up. They do sense things, so much more than people do. |

I don't know if I shared this on here or not, so if I did sorry for a repost, but one time I was hanging out with a friend at another friends house, the owner of the house wasn't home. My friend confided in me that he wanted me to be there with him because he thought the house was haunted, and he went on to tell me how he's heard people walking around upstairs when no one was upstairs. As he was telling me he was sitting like 2ft from me, and he goes "Did you just feel that" I responded "No, what?" and as soon as I finished my words, I felt a breeze and got goosebumps! It was really creepy, and i totally understood why he didn't want to be there alone! |

Sometimes Sophie has episodes where she barks at nothing at all, even growls and shakes. It's happened about twice. Anyway if you really want to know if something's there ask it questions and get evp with a tape recorder, if you're brave enough lol i certainly am not. If you don't want it there tell it to leave |

When my mother was dying, she saw my father, who had passed away 30 years earlier. She talked to him and said she was ready to go with him "right now." He apparently answered her because she said "all right, you know I've always been impatient." She died just a few minutes later. She was very peaceful and I believe my father was there to take her hand and walk with her into eternity. They were both very strong Christians and I believe they walked right into Heaven together. I expect both of them will be there when my time comes to cross over. |

I have a lot of experiences with the spiritual side..Always have. My intuition grows stronger the older I get. It runs in our family. I believe this is why I have a strong connection to animals..I can almost feel their thoughts..anyway they do sense things around us. My pug died 2 yrs ago. A couple of days after his death, I heard him scratching our back door..to let him in..like he always used to. My son has heard him walking down our hallway..and I have photos of a huge orb near our couch where he used to sit..the orb has shown up in different photos during different occasions but the same spot.. |

I just remembered this dream I had a few days ago about the ghost that I suspect is haunting my house, and in the dream I found this newspaper article about their death, and the date was 6-8-23 or something. But 6-8! that's today! I can't wait for today to be over haha. |

Gee, I sure hope the creepiness just goes away... |

I do believe in ESP. My mother grew up in St. Louis, MO, and when she and my father were first married, she worked at a shoe factory. One day, my father was going to meet my mother where she worked and they were going to go to lunch together. Just before lunch time, my mother was sitting at her machine working and she heard my father say her name, very plainly and quite loud. She stopped and turned around, expecting to see him standing there. He wasn't there! Later, when he did arrive, she told him about it. He looked pale and said he had been walking along the street, his mind on my mother and their lunch together, and he stepped off the curb right into the path of an oncoming truck. He said he scrambled back out of the way and said her name out loud, very loud. He was blocks away, but she heard him say her name. One of my favorite ESP stories since I knew the people involved. |

Roscoe has woken us up a couple of times just barking in the middle of the night and sitting straight up.......then we realized he was stairing in the mirror so he was getting confused at seeing another dog in the mirror. |

Ghosties My two yorkies (expecially my older female) will frequently chase "something" down the hall and then come trotting back very proud of herself.... No one else is in the house, and there are no other animals in the house... I thought it might be mouse at first, but I have seen no evidence of one in the house..... Whatever lives with us is not bad and sometimes I think it is past pets come back in "visitation." roxanne |

Ahhh, I remember the last thread about this that was posted, what, a year or 2 ago? I can't remember when it was but I do remember it! My Stedman does this too (Tatum rarely EVER barks, but she sometimes will if she sees him doing it - only if he's going REALLY crazy with the barking though) but it IS indeed very freaky! I don't know what the heck he hears, or what he sees, but whenever he does it I don't see or hear ANYTHING...so it is very odd  Who knows what these babies of ours can see and hear....obviously something we can't    |

Yes, I believe in Spirits Two of my experiences: My father died in the hospital on his birthday, August 9, 1985. It was late at night and I was very upset, but still had to drive 35 miles home. I got into my car and started it up, by that time sobbing. All of a sudden, all I could smell was Old Spice, the aftershave my father always wore. I knew he was "sitting" in the passenger seat of my 2-seater sportscar. I gained my composure and drove home, comforted by his presence. When I parked the car in my driveway and turned off the ignition, the Old Spice scent vanished. I knew he was gone and has never visited again. In 1988, I took my extremely aggressive Chinese Shar-Pei to the Vet to be neutered, at 8:30 on a Friday morning. At 11:50 a.m., I saw him "sitting" in the hallway, with his head caulked sideways, just looking at me. I said his name Jin Ju and then realized, hey wait a minute, you're at the Vet! The phone rang and when I answered it, it was the Vet calling to say my dog was dead. Jin Ju had come to say goodbye. |

ckuz13 Strong possibility that your pug is visiting you in your sleep as your mind would be more open to accept the visit. Yes, I am very sensitive to things like this. |

I believe this too..thanks..When I get my new yorkie, It will be interesting to see if she senses anything around my home. |

I totally believe in ghosts, my first one i saw was right after my gma died (I was in 1st grade), my room was next to my gpas and when i woke up one night, out of nowhere, i saw a head poke out of his room (the door was closed) and the head floated down the hall, i wasnt scared or anything but i remember it very clearly and my mom remembers me coming downstairs to her bed and telling her about it n sleeping with her that night. My dog has never acted like that, thank God, but I do know they exist! |

Last night some very strange things happened! I'm more convinced than ever about my ghostie. I just wish I knew more about it, so maybe it wouldn't freak me out so much. I was in here on the computer...it was late...12:30-1 am I guess. It was totally quiet, and suddenly I heard a loud bang noise - like something had fallen. I checked all over the room - nothing out of place. I was officially creeped, so I went into my room. I turned on the TV, the light was out. I turned to walk toward my bed, and I happened to glance at the mirror, and I saw something...white...just a glimpse of something white go past my mirror and out the door. I FREAKED out and ran to and closed my door. I laid down on my bed with the light on dim, and I looked up at the ceiling, and there was this vertical streak of this white/blue light, and it disappeared in a second. It was SO SCARY and I could hardly sleep. |
