I noticed in your update your mentioned something about 2 a.m.
Between 2 and 3 a.m. is typically an active time for spirits.

My recommindation on what to do is this. When your yorkie is doing this,it is an indication that she is sensing a spirit. (If indeed this is what it is,and I feel pretty sure it may be) When she picks up on this, say aloud "You have passed over. Please go to the Light." Then ask your angels/spirit guides to protect you and yours and help the spirit that your yorkie is sensing cross into the Light.
Also ask that you and yours be surrounded in White Light.

Some people that pass do not realize that they have passed or feel they need to hang around for whatever reason.
Sending them into the Light usually takes care of this.

If you have any questions, I'll try to help.

Wishing you the best. Please keep us updated.

Thank you for mentioning this...I forgot to say this part. I went to a medium shortly after my nana passed and she asked me if I had been visited by Victoria (my nana). I said that I had and she asked me if it was between 2 and 3 am. It was. She said the same thing that you just wrote.

Because I am a Bible lead person, I do not believe in ghost. But the scriptures say their are harassing demons.

Eeek! Creepy stuff!!! Jessi... I hope you don't have anymore problems!

I know an elderly woman passed away in my house. My BF didn't want to tell me because he knew I'd be freaked! Well I overheard him talking to a friend about it! I've had people tell me weird things have happened to them in my house... but nothing personally has happened to me. A roommate told me she fell asleep on the couch and woke up talking to what she thought was an elderly woman sitting on the couch next to her! She's said she's heard footsteps on our front porch.

So far Mia has not barked or growled randomly at anything.... so I guess I'm safe!

Lou 06-05-2008 09:27 AM

I have wished so hard that my Dad would come and visit me but he never has. He was a Nazarene minister so I think even if he could he wouldn't because he wouldn't want to encourage my beliefs in the supernatural. Does that make sense? I have a friend that believes that the dead can go visit their friends and relatives on the third day after they die (like Jesus?). He also says that dieing is just like in the movie Ghost. The light comes and you have to decide to go to it. The evil will come and grab you too if you are going to Hell. Oh my! This is getting too weird for even me. Sorry.

My Azrael did the exact same thing and I looked out the window only to see a skunk walking around. I didn't hear or smell it but she did. Dogs hearing is so much better than humans, so I wouldn't worry.

"leipshen's Daddy"

I also live my life by the Word of God, however, I have had a couple of experiences similiar to these posted. One of them was so profound that It would be hard to chalk it up to anything else, other than a visit from my husband....

My husband died July 1st 2000. He was only 43 yrs old. He had a massive heart attack, totally out of the blue, no prior warning. I found him just minutes after it happened. We had been married for 20 yrs, high school sweethearts.

At the time of his death, we had two Schnauzers. My "Leipshen" (now 12 yrs old) was given to me by my husband on Valentines Day. She was a precious puppy and although she has always been "my dog" she loved my husband dearly. They had a daily ritual between them that went on from the time he gave her to me until he died...and I believe for three days after he died.

Every evening when my husband would get home from work, he would come in the front door very quitely, trying to see if he could make it into the house without "Leipshen" hearing him. He pulled it off only a couple of times when she was a puppy. The minute she would hear him, she would run like crazy , make this little excited yippy sound , wagging her little tail vigorously and lifting both front paws up and down , up and down. She would then turn and look at me, run to me , then run back to him. As if to say "Look mommy, daddy is home!" He would laugh and pick her (when she was a puppy) , later he would bend over to her giving her lots of love. she looked forward to this every day.

The day after he died, I was in the bedroom, sitting on the edge of the bed , just staring straight ahead. ( I was completely lost and devistated). Leipshen was laying next to me on the bed. It was very quite in the house. all of a sudden..."Leipshen" whipped her head around to the bedroom door...she jumped up and flew off the bed...she stopped about four feet from the door, looking up, doing her little loving yip, wagging her tail so vigorously ...jumping up down, up down, EXACTLY the same welcome home that she had given him every day for years. She ran to me, jumped on the bed, yipping and whining , she then flew off the bed, stopping four feet within the room. She suddenly quited down, looking up, still wagging her tail, just like she would do when he would bend over and give her pets and loves.

I spoke to "Leipshen"...."Leipshen"..."is daddy here"? , she remained where she was, all happy. I said out loud, looking at where "Leipshen" was..."Jimmy"? "Are you here"? "Leipshen" turned and jumped back onto the bed, laying down and looking straight ahead. I just sat and cryed.

This happened for two more days. Always in the house, always in the bedroom (where I spent long hours). I don't remember telling anyone about it, or feeling much of anything except extremely sad.

It has been almost 8 yrs since Jimmy died. I still have my beloved "Leipshen", she is 12 yrs old and now totally blind. she is fine though and she is so good at navigating her way around that one can hardly tell that she is blind. i also have my beloved Yorkies, whom "Leipshen" loves to pieces and vice versa! My children and I have healed ( By the Grace of God). I never re-married, my kids are grown, and it is just me and my precious dogs. There have been incidents, at night , where both Yorkies will wake up and look at the bedroom door (different house). They will wag their tails and bark or whimper, (just for a couple moments). This wakes me up and I just lay quitely and smile, petting "Leipshen", who is snoring lightly beside me.

It is because of my devotion to God , and my uncertainty about anything paranormal , that has caused me to never share this story. It feels good to be able to share it with my friends here!

I believe in ghosts and spirits and believe dogs can see them. I know I've had a little girl with me all of my life and one day when i was in the computer room of my parents house(years ago) I heard our toy palmerian barking and when i opened the door he was barking at the wall about at the point I where I was sitting.

and then recently with teddy he went into a barking fit one night and would not stop. We use to hear tons of noises at night really creepy ones and of course my husband has seen things but since that night we havent heard a thing and I'm worried teddy scared her off.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I think God find ways to comfort us. When was have a biospy to see if I have breast cancer I smelled my mother briefly, like she had passes through the room. But I was not afraid I think that is the key to pay attention too.

oo wow nice photos! You should watch Paranormal state on A&E The season is over now but you can find full shows on youtube. Plus they have a website. I like it because they don't go into the place going "it's haunted" they check things out and evaluate the persons involved(like tramatic stress causing it and such) and actually will get them counceling if something bad happened like the death of a son.

I don't like ghost shows that go in believeing it's haunted. I use to watch most haunted on the travel channel just for the stories of the buildings they would go into(I'm always very interested in the paranormal and well serial killer studies)

You brought tears to my eyes. I am so sorry you lost your husband at such a young age. It must have been horrible for you. I admire your strength and courage. I do wish you would think about publishing your experience. You could disguise it as fiction but it is a great story and you tell it well.

This thread is creepy especially the pictures..are they smoke or are they spirits? scary.... I believe dogs can see spirits too but my Pao doesn't bark when he sees one. He will stare and stare at it and follow it if it moves. It has been 3 times since it happened. Freaky especially since we can't see it.

It was a completely clear night... no mist, dew, haze, fog... nothing... no one was smoking... we didn't see anything at all unusual about the place, untill we got home and looked at the pictures.... I have dozens.... see anything weird about this one?? (upper left hand corner)... or the second one? (near the same headstone).... just weird...

I think I've been watching ghost hunters for too long. See if there is a local paranormal group in your area that can come over and investigate.

It could be that you have high EMF readings...could be from a fan, plug outlet, clock, etc. When a object gives off high EMFs, you get the feeling like you're being watched or just an overall creepiness. Could be that the dog is sensing that as well, OOOR, it could be a ghost!

Where Bama when I need her?:D

mybirdys2003 06-06-2008 10:26 AM

I totally, totally agree, and I go to church all the time and I don't think it is bad to have one's own opinion. I have had lots of spirits come visit me, and I have seen them, and once, my husband was with me, and once my mother was with me(which she said, she would never go up on the hill with me again, it scared her so) I know they do not come to hurt you, and they actually have given me comfort. I have however, never seen or felt my mother, and it saddens me.
Once when I was taking care of my sick mother, my dog started barking and staring at the wall, and my mother yelled, "Do you see it, who is it"? She died shortly after that.
Your pics of the ghosts are fantastic. Never thought of taking pics.

That's a beautiful story, it brought tears to my eye's. Thank you for sharing. I live my life for God too and when it comes to this subject I just figure it's not for me to know, I don't have all the answers and I don't think we're meant to either. God bless you and your family:)

Well every night before we would go to bed bella would look at the same area in the room and wag her tail and get down like someone was petting her. My grandma loved dogs so I really believe that it was her. After my grandpa passed away bella acted really sad right when it happened I think she knew he was gone. After I got back home I was sleeping and I had a dream that my grandpa was telling me he was ok and he was with my grandma and I woke up crying. Well when I looked up there was bella at the edge of the bed and it literally looked like some was playing and petting her she wasn't scared and neither was I. It may sound crazy but I have had many paranormal experiences since I was young shortly after my grandma passed away. I really believe in it and I think dogs are especially in tune to those types of things.

That makes me want to cry! Not in a bad way, but how it's like your grandparents were playing with Bella, that's a heartwarming paranormal story.

oo wow nice photos!

I love Paranormal State. It is one of the best shows I've seen on the paranormal. I like how they try to send the ghosts or spirts on their way.

But my Sydney barks at stuff alot at night. I always seem to notice "shadow people" but my hubby thinks I'm just nuts. Oh well..maybe I am!!
