Sorry to hear of your loss Hi I just came on here and being brand new, I am not too sure how to do things yet, but I wanted to say your story touched my heart and I have been on the same search as you. I do have three Yorkies, two of which I was lucky, I got one locally through word of mouth, the other from a friend who lives a little ways from me in NE Texas, and the third on the Internet. Well the third one I keep looking and looking at her and she just does not look like the other two, now my vet says he thinks she is not pure Yorkie. And I paid the most for her, AKC registered and Pedigree. So it pays to be safe when buying a long distance away or on the internet and I am glad you are taking your time. Just being on here may help, it seems there are lots of caring Yorkie owners/breeders on here. As soon as I can I will be posting pics of my babies, I am so glad I found this forum because there are lots of cute little things my Yorkies do and I wonder if others do them too! they are little rascals, let me tell you! For instance they are tiny, and I found two of them inside the cat litter box, I heard something inside and when I went to move it, two furry little bodies came flying out out; Zoe, my little female had her long fu manchu all stuck together with the treasures she found in there. YUCK! She had to have an emergency bath. Ok I guess I have gone on too long on here, good luck with your search. Christine Last edited by puppykiss; 06-02-2008 at 01:21 PM. Reason: spelling

Thank you christine.. your story is awesome as well.. i tried looking for yorkies in the U.S but some really seem kinda awkward. I do have a God Brother living in CA who said he can help me look for a puppy.. but i told him to hold it off until i find a good breeder in CA. Hope i dont have to look much longer XP i really want to live the joy of having a little sweetheart with me again. Thanks, Tinnie

Aww, sorry for your loss. It'll take some time, but you'll find a great breeder and you'll find a little baby. I was actually in the same boat as you. I'm from Alberta as well. I searched for about six months before finding my little girl. I ran into some red flags with a few people as well when searching. There was one woman who was going to sell me a little girl for $1000 who would grow to be about 3 pounds, she actually told me I could breed her (as if, I mean breed a girl 3 pounds, no way) and as the weeks went on she kept raising the price of the pup as well. Plus after doing more researching I found out she had many, many dogs and had crosses and many puppies at one time. I never did get that little girl, I decieded to look elsewhere. I did find another breeder from Sask. who was really nice, sent me pictures of past puppies, parents pics and she had refrences, she answered any and every question I ever asked her. CKC, shots, guarentee and everything. Her males were $800 and females $850. I had wanted a puppy in June, July, and she had a litter but the female she had she had sold. But the buyer changed her mind I think, and by the time I found out I had already put a dep. on Tila. Who I got from a great small breeder in B.C. So there are some excellent people out there in Canada with healthy beautiful puppies, just need to find someone your comfortable with and in the end you will have a beauiful addition to your family.
