Personally, and this is just me...I wouldn't pay more than $200 for a mixed dog....whether it be mixed with 2 breeds or a hines 57. AND, I would get it fixed as soon as it was old enough. |

Silly me I should have read the post from the breeder of these wonderful designer dogs before asking the question. Now that I have read the post and visited the web site all I can say is 'PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK' the appropriate name for these animals is a Heinz 57 aka mutt. Nothing wrong with a Heinz 57 but let's not try to fool the public into believing that they are something they aren't. I can't believe that people are gullible enough to pay that kind of money for something they can get at a shelter for a quarter of the price. |
Anyone know where Royalpuppies is located? |

but I do get dissapointed seeing BEAUTIFUL breeds mixed intentionally - one day no one will know what they're really buying...down the line this just has to be bad for the pure breeds we love. On the other hand - I guess if people are buying - someone will be selling. |
Hello Again, Sorry it took so long for a responce (i have many puppies and dogs to take care of) Why do I breed? I breed to make a customer happy and make sure they will have no regrets after purchasing a puppy. You talk about all the diseases and all that I DON'T HAVE ANY OF THIS. My breeding stock is very well researched and chosen. At the moment we have a few who are retiring (from their last litters) we are spaying/neutering them and giving them away to loving families. We are again changing our availability and breeding stock. you can say what you want but we do take very good care of making sure our puppies do not have disease. Why else would I have a contract? You also talk about breeds and their uses. I believe that a breed should have a use as well. As you know the yorkie is stubborn and is a hunting dog (developped for rat hunting in boats and mines) so they can stay at one thing for a long time. I have taken that breed and mixed it with the Maltese to create a Morkie (which at first was when we saw one) and decided it was a good idea. We did research this breed and actually met a few. There are also 4 coats 1st is tricolor 2nd is Brindle 3rd is black and white 4th is White and black (more white). The black and white as well as the white and black are rare to begin with. The Tricolor is the most common in a litter. This dog the Morkie is smart, fun, teasy, stuborn, and many other things. You can actually get different mixtures of personalities with every dog and you are not stuck with only a few personalities. It is also cute adds a color (tricolor). or you can choose the brindle which is also great for the looks but same personalities. You see unlike most breeders I don't try the impossible you tell me what a bad breeder I am breeding mixes what is so wrong with that? They have NO medical problems what so ever (my puppies any way) they are healthy smart home raised cute and loved. If also breed the Yorkie which is stubborn and many people don't know how stubborn they are they simply see the (LOOK) of the dog and want one just the same. What do you say to these people who's dogs end up in shelters? When someone asks for a puppy they sign a contract and if they can't take care of the puppy we tell them they will not get a refund but we will take the puppy back (and pay for shipping) and sell it (cost of shipping only) to a new loving family which will take care of the puppy. How many breeders do that? We sold a puppy to a lady and unfortunately the puppy fell down the stairs and needed an operation or the puppy would either have 3 legs or die. We paid for it over 3 grand she paid 1500 for the puppy. She had no money for the operation and the leg if cut could mean in the massive loss of blood (death) or massive infection (death) that Yorkie is still with that owner walking on 4 legs perfectly fine. We do care for our puppies. It makes me sad that some people like you don't see this. Yes I admit we have allot but they aren't stuck in a cage 4 by 4 all day long. Many run lose with us in the house (but we have a limit) others are in a pen (large inside and large outside) and have access 24/7 to a large outside pen with fresh water all day long. We also rotate the dogs from in the pen to loose in the house every few weeks. But even in the pen there is someone in the pen almost all day long playing with them. Outside they have a tub (some of them like to stay outside all day) it's a really small tub filled with water and the play in it if they are hot. Inside well we ave Air conditioning. With all the breeds and (USES) I created a breed with out a a specific USE so when you want a dog you won't be asking do I want a dog created for catchign rats? or a dog for retrieving falling birds. you will say I want a dog as a companion. About your Dog Fancy Magazine thing, it is true if I where to have a disease and mix that diseased dog there is a 50% chance of passing it on, but if I DONT HAVE THE DISEASES! WHICH I DON'T BY THE WAY. Then the Morkies is bred FROM THE START healthy. So I can't hope the pup will represent the best of both breeds I get only healthy from it since both breeds are healthy and I get mixtures of different personalities so if one dog doesn't suit one person then the 2nd dog could be perfect for that family. (Personality Wise) Purebreds might have more predictable personalities but the Morkie has a range of personalities which is suitable for more people. Maybe this is why they are much more popular. Ohh and the name is not silly to us it is M for maltese and orkie for Yorkie (MORKIE) I plan to make this Morkie a BREED in the future and I am keeping all record of breeds and am keeping best qualities on mind. I will then start to breed Morkies and start keeping them for future breeding with NON related Morkie Studs. And of course have have pedigrees and all the required information to create a new breed. Unlike most dishonest breeders I am not just selling and forgetting. We also have contracts with some of our sold puppies which state that we will pay for stud services in the future and also hand them the 1st pick of the litter. We will of course need Morkies to create a breed so since we do not have a puppy mill nor space to allot of dogs we rather they be in families and we can pay the family for each breed. In other words they get paid for having a puppy. You can assume what you want but before judging it would be prudent to ask. what ever hapened to thal shal not judge. If I where a puppy mill or dishonest breeder do you really think I would be here talking right now? or would I have posed a message earlier? I asked for an opinion not a judgement nor false accusations. Ohh and please read the dictionary correctly Hybrids can be made by choosing 2 different breeds of the same race just like us humans (White + Black human hybrid) no offence. You also say there are clubd (cockapoo clubs) in several states and all that. And you state that when the FAD PASSES there will be tons of unwanted dogs about. What abotu purebreds? I know of shelters who have tons of purebred dogs that are unwanted!!! A MIX IS A DOG JUST LIKE A PUREBRED AND WETHER A FAD IS FOR A PURE BRED OR MIXED IT WILL PASS AND TONS OF UNWANTED DOGS WILL BE ABOUT. You see the world is cruel that is why I am starting a new fad is you like to call it but it will be years until they get out of the popularity and once that happens i will be responsible enough to stop bredding them. I cannot be held responsible for others. You keep talking on perfecting the breed by removing health issues. Don't you see that the breed is perfect already??? Except for the ones with health issues but I have none and what do you want me to do about the hundreds of breeders around? Nothign will talk them out and they sell for less (300$) Im not saying all of the puppies are bad but before we started breeding we bought our first yorkie for 300$ and believe me when I say It's not a standrard Yorkie. He is 13 pounds HUGE!!!!!!! Spay/Neutered of course he has trachea problems and hyp problems as well, we still keep him as a pet but boy we would never breed such a thing nor buy one from a breeder that quality ever again. Just to give you an example how much it cost for all of the meds and surgery (7 grand and over) and he doesn't have much longer to live (trachea problems getting worse) once he starts suffering we will put him to sleep. but to think that a breeder actually bred that thing and didn't care is also a heartbraking thing for me. But I don't go accusing breeders which I don't know if they are good or not yet. Also for your information I get 5 Suprise visits a year from our local county (city hall) they have rules for animals. Each time there is no problems what so ever. Plus 1 which is planned each year. it's a full time job that we love to do and all the hard work pay's off when we see the smiles on the faces of the customers who has just picked a puppy which the person will love the rest of his/her life. And the reason we charge so much is because of the costs as well. We are a big family and a big family costs allot of money. I would not mind charging 300$ for a dog but I would need a full time job and what would happen during the day? would the dogs have all the attention they deserve then? Morkies they also have white (tri color version) this white makes they more attracting to others and makes them want to inquire more for them. You see I don't need a dog to work birds, or a dog to retrieve game from freezing waters or anything alse than a companion so I have created that dog made simply for companionship. The Personality and Attitude can differ from one dog to another it's not just same old same old. And if 1 dog does not have what the client is looking for then maybe a different dog could be perfect OR even a different breed. we also have people who buy becasue they did'nt know which breed to buy (Maltese or Yorkie) when they saw the Morkie they immediately emailed me. Ohh and you also say the mixed breed dogs have the same problems as pure breed dogs (your aunt!!!) well let me say she bought the mix from a bad breeder. As we don't have that problem here. None of our Yorkies, Maltese Morkies Chihuahuas Chorkies have it Our Mini schnauzers (we only have 2 have no health problems either). So tell me what health problems I should get rid of? |
COUNTINUED! In case you did't know I did some research in genetics and foudn out that many breeds are dying. The liver shunt is a mixture of family related genes which creates Handicap parts in teh body it could as well be a heart problem but genes chose liver. The Yorkies with liver shunt are believed to have been bred 2 different way. 1 is family relation a puppy survives and breeds with another dogs and so on. Which created a glitch in the genes and started these problems. Another reason why is nor enough choice this is like a big maze you find many routes but in the end there is only 1 exit. So 1 dog even if it's many many generations apart will actually have to breed with it's self. (It's own genes) which will eventually kill the breed (FAST OR SLOW). This is still under research and not proven but the data is there. It just need's to be examines. (A few years left) This problem is not yet proven just like the liver shunt is not proven to be hereditary (it is congenital but not hereditary) YET. However congenital still means that the puppy is born with it and we fully guarantee the liver shunt. Just to say that problems with breeds cannot be stopped. In consiquence we have to create new breeds with new genes added before it is too late. Think of that point as well please. I would like for you to answer me few questions. Who are you to say that a mixed puppy is not better? Tell me why it ins't better (if probably bred of course) and why wouldn't I be able to predict what a Chorkie will look like? once they are born and you see the colors why not? Same for the Chihuahua how would you know if the chihuahua will be black or white or any other color? Another thing some breeds are not permanent (they are not at risk) but someoen needs to try a mix and see how well the mixture is and how people react to their personalities and looks. Ever wanted a Chihuahua who was not stiff when you pick it up? 50% of the chorkies we have do not stiffen when we pick them up. Also most are VERY VERY SMART. i have a video of RoTT on my website he was already fetching a toy after 1 day he went home to his new home. Less than 1 day training . Here they play all day but they aren't trained. Anyway there is no reason for this I asked for an opinion not accusations if you want to make some I have no problem responding to them but please email me info@royalpuppies.com or Yorkies@royalpuppies.com I also have many other emails just look in the contact us section www.royalpuppies.com Thank You Marc-Olivier Parisien www.RoyalPuppies.com |

Would you say that because they don't have a certain paper or 2 different breeds that are not worth anything? or they are BAD? Thank you for pointing that out I know that there are some people out there who love this breed. |

To me AKC OR CKC is simply a piece of paper telling me that I have paid 50$ for a certificate which can be and probably is faulsified by the breeder in question. Even with CKC or AKC how do you know that the dog your getting is acutally what the paper sais who tells you that someone along the lines wouldn't have been dishonest (or even an honest mistake) and bred the wrong male with the wrong female?? So AKC can be falsified as well. Look at the Biewer Yorkshire a la Pom Pon they are Yorkies but with a gene mutation which makes some white (they actually look allot like the Morkie) their personality changes as well with this mutation and quite suprisingly there is ALREADY Liver Shunts and hip problems in the breed. it's not that old!!!. We are currently importing this breed from Germany (making sure all of them do not have Liver Shunt or any of these problems) and then breed so that here in Canada there will be a selection. Please note that it may be already too late. This Liver Shunt problem is not an on off switch. I hope someday you understand that. Puppy Hugs! |
