| we too have 3 hand tame cockatiels and a six month old yorkie, they sort of live together, kinny is obsessed with them when they come out , if they fly she goes manic and tries to catch them its the flying that sets her off, we never leave them alone out but in their cage up high they are fine |

| My mom has a cockatiel and my yorkie and her get along very, very well. My yorkie does not really have that "terrier" instinct though. He doesn't chase other animals or things like that. When we stayed with my mom for awhile, the cockatiel was always in an open cage, and Miko always had free reign of the house, but we knew for a fact that they got along. You just need to teach the puppy from the beginning that the cockatiels are not toys. My aunt's yorkie came to stay at my mom's house for a couple of days, and she DOES have that terrier instinct. So, I guess it just depends on the dog as well... Quote:
