| Yes and No. What my vet told me and I also think there are articles about this as well on the web...If your dog already has adult fleas then start with a Capstar pill to instantly kill the adult fleas on the dog...Sentinel takes couple weeks for this to get into the blood stream. In the mean you can use a very good flea powder and also puppy flea shampoo once a week for the first month. By the second month and dose you should not see any fleas. These are the steps I took: Gave Rocky 1 Capstar pill you can get from your vet to kill all adult fleas within 8 hrs. Gave Rocky his first Sentinel pill Normally I use "efa HyLyt shampoo" Changed to "Zodiac Protein Conditioning Shampoo for dog,cat & kittens Flea Control 28days". This shampoo smells nice and Rocky's hair is very nice and silky. After Rocky was fully dry and used Zodiac flea powder and brushed it through his hair. I only did this once a week for the first month Rocky was on Sentinel and he is flea free. ;-) Here is a link to a article that talks about Sentinel and all the other flea control products. http://www.veterinarypartner.com/Con...P=PRINT&A=1575 Best of luck |
