| ![]() thanks so much for all your opinions. My cat is microchipped but I adopted her from the shelter that way. I know I am going to get him microchipped it is just when that im not sure of....since it seems some of you have done it around his age I think it will be fine....I want to do it while he is young but didnt know if that was an issue. I will feel so bad if it hurts him. but I know I am better off with him having it for safety. I know most vets...when you bring a pet in for the first time run the scanner over them just to make sure it is yours....they did this Monday to Bandit....they tried to hide it but my hubby saw them. Which I am glad they did because that means they actually care. So I may get him microchipped this weekend...I guess we'll see. I really appreciate all the opinions. I know I can count on all of you for your honesty!! ![]() ![]() |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() I thought you weren't suppose to take them around other dogs until they had all their shots.

| ![]() Me Too... My breeder said I should do it when she is under anesthesia for her spaying surgery. It lessens the rick of doing it twice. My concern was I wanted it done right away...wait if she is stolen? But fro her safety I know I have to wait. I don't want her be to "under" anymore then she needs to be. It's not safe.

| ![]() Blossom just got microchipped last week and not a peep out of her. She's 9 months old and was fully awake and alert. It did not seem at all traumatic for her. She was very brave. |

| ![]() I got Carter microchipped when he was about 11 weeks. I couldn't watch because the vet warned me the needle was big, and I felt so bad because he was crying when he got it. But right after he was perfectly fine, and not traumatized at all. And I feel a lot better having it!
