| ![]() I'm new too! My Morkie is 15 weeks old and I joined YT this month as well. I was wanting to find other owners to ask about their ears. My Morkie's ears did not stand up but they didn't hang low like a Maltese either. I have kept his ears trimmed to help them stand up. We tried taping them but Mason hated it and scratched at the tape so much that he made a sore in one ear so we ditched that plan. After the second time I trimmed his ears, one started to stand up. I was going to ask other Morkie owners if they had an experience like this, but just a few days ago, the other one came on up. I assume they will stay up. Am I wrong? |

| ![]() I just came across your post regarding Mason's ears. My morkie, Ebby, takes after the maltese side so her ears are down. I have a good friend who owns a yorkie and she was told by the breeder that you have to keep the ears trimmed so the ears will stand up; otherwise, I think she was told the cartildge in the ears will break. | ![]() hello!! I just had a couple questions for people WITH morkies (since alot of people have negative opinions on mixed breeds) Me and my boyfriend are looking into getting a puppy.. I am IN LOVE with morkies!!! Probably cutest things I have ever seen... I love how small they are too perfect for a condo. ![]() My question is how often do they bark, how loud... and I needed to be "hidden" would that be difficult? We are staying here for about another year or so but I am desperate and want one terribly!!! ![]() Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!! i am trying to research things before hand so I can get a bigger picture of our decision, and not just base it all off how adorable they are! |

| ![]() My Mason is only around 4 months so i'm not sure how loud his bark will be when he gets older, but he does bark. He is not very loud, and he is definitely not a yappy dog, but when we play with him or if he wants my attention, he will bark. It is usually just one little yap or two, not a barking fit like my peekapoo will do. We laugh because when we wag our fingers at him and scold him for tearing something up or doing his business on the floor, he back-talks us! I mean he really lets us know what he thinks about it! So we never really end up correcting him because we just end up laughing at him. I know that I am probably setting myself up for problems later on down the road, but we will just have to deal with them then. He's just too cute right now. ![]() |

I am keeping them clipped. They didn't really stand up until after the second time I had them trimmed but people tell me that they sometimes go back down when they are teething. At what age does teething happen? I hate to sound so dumb, but are they like human babies? Do each teeth at their own pace or is there a general rule of thumb for the age they do this? My Mom has the litter mate to Mason and his ears are down but it is probably because she hasn't gotten him groomed. She thought she wanted them to stay down until she brought him over to visit his brother this week. After she saw how Mason's looks have changed, she wants to have hers groomed and ears trimmed to see if his will stand up. I am taking him to my groomer Tuesday for her, but I am afraid that she may have waited too long. They are almost 4 months old now. They are cute both ways so it will be fine if they don't stand up. I kind of like hers that way. When they are running and playing, it is the only way we can tell them apart! | |

| ![]() We rescued a year old yorkie last year so she could be company for our daughter's yorkie...They all live in Hawaii...What a life this sweet little morkie has and deserves (lucky baby)...On her travels across the country, she made such an impression with people, everyone wanted her....What a doll!!! and beautiful...(just had to get used to the tail since our yorkies are docked) And now, we have another yorkie rescue with a tail and what character it gives him... Love to see your pics....And welcome to the neighborhood... ![]() ![]() ![]()

| ![]() Hey guys, I'm new here as well. I'm going to be getting my new puppy in December. Not sure yet what kind. The morkie 'breeder' I'm talking to is somewhat shady. she sent me a picture of the parents, the dad does not look like a purebred Maltese and the mom doesn't look like a purebred yorkie. I asked if they were morkies and age told me they were Maltese and yorkie. the other 'breeder' I'm talking to will have a litter of yorkiepoo's ready to go in December. I plan on adopting/buying a boy. togan, roman or kai will be the name (: still contemplating on the ''furbaby''. any advice or comments? shelby |
