| My Dog Hates Me Hi fellow members, Seriously, my dog hates/is terrified of me. Things were fine one minute, then I pick him up and he screams for an unknown reason and after that, he hasn't been the same with me. My dog no longer comes to me, or is his usual cuddly and playful self around me. After that incident where I picked him up and he screamed for an unknown reason, my dog seems afraid of me, unwilling to be around me and when he is, his tail is between his legs and he becomes timid. Someone please help me, share advice on how to reverse this or stories, because this is heartbreaking. My dog, as a member of the family, to suddenly turn his back like this on me is very disheartening/heartbreaking for me. Sincerely, Janpan. |

| Pain when being picked up. Little dogs sometimes hurt if not picked up very carefully. If you lift them from under their front legs it can hurt alot. You also have to be carefull not to squeeze their tummies while picking them up. I scoop them up front to back with two hands one in front one in back. Give your little one some hugs - all will work out. If the pain continues to happen you should check with your vet. Karen |

| Get down on the floor, lay down and let him come to you...let him explore you, don't grab at him...let him crawl up on you then simply with an open palm pet him under his chin...not above his head, that may scare him. But don't worry...be patient with him, he'll come around and be your best friend again real soon.

| Maybe your dog is sick or has a pain the vet should check out. I suggest a visit to the vet asap. Dogs don't hold grudges as far as I have experienced. Is he this way with everyone? If so, you can still win back his love. A vet may also offer advice. Good luck. Hope it can be solved soon. |

| Just to be on the safe side, I would have your Vet check him out, especially his neck. I had a similar experience and it did not have a happy ending. I hope it turns out the dog is timid and does not have health issues. Best of Luck!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | It sounds like something is really hurting him - and IF I were you - I'd get a vet to look him over very carefully - no dog should scream when picked up |

| Don't be discouraged, he doesn't hate you... My Gypsy does that when she's picked up roughly, give him some baby talk... Gypsy responds to that... Also take him to get check out and make sure its not something else, just in case, sometimes they can be very fragile... I Love My Furbabies, Nygee, Gizmo & Gypsy!!! |
