| I had a Litter of 3 Puppies, almost 2 yrs. ago. And Yes, Yorkies have very long Tails they look like Rats Tails? They come in different lengths naturally, the AKC. Standard (w/c we all know by Heart now?) Each Dog holds it's own Tail a certain way, one slightly to the left angle maybe? I can see why the US. Standards call for the Tails to be "Docked", beleive me it's not very attractive. Plus it's more Hair to Groom. I prefer the "Docked" version, especially when they are standing at attention.....ready to chase a Squirrel! Most European Yorkies I have met have Long/un-docked Tails and it is optional in the UKC. Standards. |

| All three of mine are docked but I think the tails are adorable. Poor little Sugar didn't even get his docked- it was cut clean off. No tail whatsoever! It's kind of sad when he tries to wag it.

| OHMG that looks just like Rambeau did when I got him! That is a beautiful tail and I so wish Rambi still had his. All of that hair makes it gorgeous. I know the tail was docked originally to protect it from any quarry the dog was after. The shorter it is the harder to bite and grab hold of. I'm not too worried about my kid getting into anything tail dangerous. I must admit the cute fall of hair on his stub is cute too. |

| My Mika has her tail, as I'm in the UK and it is illegal here, although I do still see young dogs with docked tails! I do prefer all dogs to keep their tails, they use them in so many ways! I have an Old English Sheepdog with a tail and it never stops moving. I can tell how he is feeling just by the way he holds his tail!

| Here in the UK we are not allowed to dock tails. Here is Tink (Tinkerbell) with her lovely long tail, which wags with pride! I just wish is was law to remove the dew claws when they are pups, as Tink still has hers and is often getting them caught up in things, from our clothes, long grass and chicken wire!......etc etc....She will have them removed when she is spayed, thank goodness, as one is hanging all floppy.
