Thanks for the helpful advice also!  I really appreciate it!  I am lucky, but next ones will be from a reputable breeder!  Is it too late to send in their AKC papers?  They are almost 3 years old now.

No, you can do it at anytime in their life, but it does cost more after the age of one. Here is the fee schedule: https://www.akc.org/reg/fee_schedule.cfm. As you can see, the price goes up to $85.00 from $20.00 the first year.

The fact that she lets her puppies go before twelve weeks is a pretty sure sign she is a backyard breeder. The YTCA's Code of Conduct requires all breeders keep puppies until at least 12 weeks old. Violating any of the guidelines of the breed club is a huge red flag.
