| ![]() Your baby might be having some pain and itching. Get the Tea Tree Oil from the health food store and use a Q-tip to put a wee strip down each side of the incision BUT NOT TOUCHING THE INCISION! He will not like the taste and it is mildly antiseptic so it helps. IF,and this ia a big IF, you think he is hurting or itching a little bit, buy OraJel Max. strength. It has 20% benzocaine and will numb the incision. I don't wanna hear anybody laughing here and saying "Whassamattau? Don't you know that is for the GUMS!?" Seriously, I use it for More things that I can list. I always have some of it in the frig. Also, Aloe Jel with benzocaine..it does not have as much numbing med in it.. |

| ![]() I agree with Julz. Unless he is pulling out the stitches, I don't think you have to watch him all the time. When you're resting try to sit someplace where he'll relax next to you. I even sat on the floor a few times. Just your presence will calm him. How many days till he gets the stitches out? I think I'd get a onesie to put on him. And I know this sounds awful but we took the stupid e-collar off after about 4 days. It was driving Bo crazy. Hang in there, you'll get through it.

| ![]() Don't worry...I don't think this story was the norm. I had very little problem wih Buddha but a bellyband works well. The e-collar is so depressing imo. Good luck. |
