I agree with Julz. Unless he is pulling out the stitches, I don't think you have to watch him all the time. When you're resting try to sit someplace where he'll relax next to you. I even sat on the floor a few times. Just your presence will calm him. How many days till he gets the stitches out? I think I'd get a onesie to put on him. And I know this sounds awful but we took the stupid e-collar off after about 4 days. It was driving Bo crazy. Hang in there, you'll get through it.
