| Finicky Eaters~ READ THIS!! Miracles DO happen!! Chewy just turned 2 in April and I'va had her since she was 16 weeks. The woman has NEVER eaten one full meal of dog food in her entire life! since Ive had her we have tried at least 10 brands of dry food and 3 wet foods when she was a baby. She has only eaten dog food if there was SOMETHING yummy on it... chicken, veggies, ground beef, cereal, etc. Due to allergies... we just switched over to Natures Variety, Instinct Rabbit Meal. The first day I put half a meal of NV and half of her old food. she finished off the NV in about 5 minutes and wouldnt touch the old food. I didnt give her any more so she doesnt get an upset tummy and she didnt. This was one week ago and since then she has eaten the bags recommended amount twice a day!!!! Im so excited!!!!!1 I love the ingredients and she loves the flavor.. i think what she likes it that the instinct food is coated with a layer of freeze dried meat. I definately recommend it to anyone who is having trouble with their finicky eaters... We're sold! Last edited by Marina; 05-04-2008 at 12:33 PM. |

YT Addict | I think I might try that. Teddy eats Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier but lately he only eats if its with peas and carrots, or with noodles and chicken, etc. He never eats it just plain. I have even left if out there for 2 days to see if he would get hungry enough to eat it. Nope! So, you recommended Nature's Variety huh? Any special brand? Or will any do? I'm desperate, I'm going off to law school soon and I want to make sure he eats when I'm gone.

| Nature's Variety Instinct Grain-Free Kibble Diets - Rabbit Meal Formula for Dogs This is the one shes eating now. NV has two lines... Prarie and Instinct. We tried the prarie once before and she ate it but like you say... only if there was something else in it as well. The Instinct is the one that has the freeze dried meat in it. and she seems to really like rabbit... |

| Correction: the instinct line also has the bio coating thing. I guess Chewy just likes the rabbit more than she did the lamb |

| Man this sounds like my Sydney might eat it. She's so picky. Only one problem--the closest store that sells it is 30 miles away. Sometimes I hate living in a small town.

| Its actually not sold in too many stores... even in Brooklyn I had to drive about 20 minutes from my house....( there are at least 20 stores that are closer to my house than the one i had to go to). Its kind of expensive to order it online but i think i might get a big bag next time online. |
