| Doggie door with kitten? Does anyone know if I can have a new kitten and keep it inside while having a doggie door? Any suggestions how to make this work? |

| I don't know if an automatic/magnetic doggy door is an option for you, but here's a link. (I'm not endorsing this product since I know nothing about it, but it may be something you can look into). I have heard of people trying citrus around the door, which is supposed to deter cats because they don't like the citrus scent. I'm not sure how effective it is. ETA: Forgot the link. | There are doggie doors that are radio frequency (or something) operated. It comes with one or two transmitters that your dog wears on its collar or harness. The door will automatically open when they approach the door wearing it. It is intended to keep unwanted visitors out, but it would probably help keep a kitten in, unless of course it sneaks out right behind the dog/dogs. There are several different kinds and brands. They are quite pricey though. Here is an example I came up with when I googled it. Staywell Electronic Infra-Red Dog Door That one is for bigger dogs, but hopefully they come in smaller sizes as well.

| I got a phone call while I was writing my post so it took awhile and I guess we ended up posting at the same time. Oooh, I like the magnet idea on the link from the other poster. Solo Fully Automatic Opening Pet Door
