| Photo Shoot? Anyone? I need tips, recommendations, advice, anything you can share with me.....EVERYTIME I try to get a picture of my yorkie, he tries to lick the camera or me. It is so frustrating! I want to get some great close ups of him to put on YT but it is impossible. How do all of you get your yorkies to cooperate and let you just go to town taking pictures? My lil guy is just so uncooperative. Please advice.

| I make my puppies sit and then hold a treat right by the camera. I keep making them sit and "be good" while I take the picture, then I give them their treat. This only works really well if your puppy knows to sit and stay and wait for the treat. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Here's a good link http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...aby-101-a.html Putting them at your level works pretty well, you know on a table and holding the food in your teeth while you take a picture. If I want a headshot I don't really get that close, I just zoom in on the head once I download the picture and cut that out.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | stand back - use your ZOOM and try whispering too - that really works for my girls - they're so nosy and if they hardly can hear me.... they cock those little heads and listen so hard - that's when I get great shots |

I try to make different sounds or crinkle a piece of paper. If all else fails, I'll ask them "do you want to go outside?" They loooove to go outside and will always perk right up when it's mentioned. LOL...of course then after the photo shoot I DO have to take them out.

| Treats, treats, and more treats! Super yummy ones, too. I also have a wireless trigger in my studio so that I can entertain the subject & get them to do what I want without also having to press the shutter. You can do similarly by using a tripod & your camera's timer feature. It'll be a little more tricky in terms of timing, but atleast you won't be doing the entertaining AND holding the camera. You'll likely get more interesting poses, as well, as you'll be focused solely on your furbaby. HTH! Catherine
