| Anyone bike with their yorkies in a basket? If so, what are the weight of yours? I was thinking that hubby and I could start biking in the summer with the boys. Jake is really tiny at 4 1/2 lbs., but Jackson is 6 1/2 lbs. Is it hard to steer with them or harder to balance? Thanks in advance!

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | How fun! I have never done it but LuvMySissy (Jodi) on here has and has pictures and a thread about it. Maybe she'll come on and be able to answer. You'll have to share some pics if you do start biking! |

| I posted almost the exact same question but I put it under a thread in Yorkie Products....I was asking if anyone had a great wicker basket for their bike. I have found this one that is adorable but I'm not sure if it is too big....I don't want it to be out of proportion for the bike. Let me know what you think: Pet Cruiser® Wicker Cruiser Info, Specs, Customer Comments Someone said that they used a wire type basket and they could fit all 3 yorkies in at the same time. She included a picture and it was precious. Maybe she will see this thread and post it for you. I also found this site for dog helmets: Dog Bike Helmet - 4 sizes in WHITE, BLACK & PINK

| This thread makes me want to get a basket for my bike! Maybe I should, then I'll be motivated to actually ride my bike and get exercise!

| What happens if you crash? I honestly can't see those silly helmets doing any good.

| YES!!!!!! I have the Pet Cruiser basket and I do use the wire top when the girls are riding with me as I think it provides much more protection then a tiny helmet should we crash. I did also rig a tether into the back of the basket (closet to the handlebars) as I also wanted to make sure they are secure in the basket with their harnesses. I added an actual cushion in the bottom because the thin piece of fur that came with it was not comfortable for the girls. Sissy is just over 4 lbs and Angel is a little over 4 1/2 lbs. The extra weight makes is just a little more difficult to get started, but doesn't make any difference once you get going. We love our basket and the girls really enjoy their rides!!!
