| I am so angry!! Our friend who always took care of Paris & Paris sold his veterinary practice and works as a surgical specialist at MSU. The young male vet he sold it to seems very nice and I was looking forward to seeing him interact with our girls this morning... INSTEAD!!!! This horrible witch (whom I have asked never to treat our dogs) came in. I wanted to leave but Paris #1 was sick so I didn't have a choice. I asked if Dr. Skarich was available and she looked at me and said NO. I told her Paris had a bladder infection and she completely doubted me. Paris peed on the table so she took a sample and looked at it. When she came back she told me there was some bacteria in the sample but that it probably came from the table, not from an infection. *hhhmmmmm* I asked if there were any crystals or blood and she said yes.. WHAT THE H&LL??? So I said I would like an antibiotic since that pretty much says bladder infection. (blood, crystals & bacteria). So then Paris needs and allergy shot. She has never even wimpered when she gets a shot before but today she did...so I think...Let's just get the other two taken care of and get the heck out. ParPar gets her bordetella...also cries...very odd. ParPar is the tough one. So then Samira...also only needs bordetella... I put her up on the table and she grabbed her and started squeezing her to her chest. I said she doesn't need to be restrained lke that. The grabbed her neck and as soon as they did she started thrashing around and crying and pooped on the table. I had to tell the DR to stop!! We took a moment and she said she would try again... she held her a little looser but as soon as they put the needle in, Samira started screeching and the needle tore her skin and she started bleeding!! I said that's enough. Give me my RX and we scooped up the babies and went to the front desk. Now this was the other VET that works in the office. Not a tech...not a secretary... I am so furious!!! I paid and have left a message for Dr. Skarich to contact me at once...today...as soon as he sees his last patient. I really want to go back there and speak with him in person. I really can't put any of us through another visit like that!! I left a message with my friend (who owned the business) as well so we can find someplace who will care for them the way I know it should be done. I seriously think that stupid bimbo Vet has never owned and animal in her life! It's several hours later and I look at poor Samira's neck and see the mark on her neck. It makes me want to cry more!!

| I am so sorry this happened to you & your girls & had such a horrible experience! I would talk to the vet you were scheduled to see and let him know he will lose your business if the other vet ever attempts to treat your girls again. So sad when people who do not like animals get into a field to treat them. I hope they all feel better soon!

| thats horrible! shes prolly not a "little dog person" ive had a vet who was always the greatest with my bigger dogs... but then once i got a smaller dog it was like her personality just completely changed and she had no compassion... i blame it on the fact that it was a small dog no matter what the "excuse" i definately would be talking to the owner

| I am so sorry. I hate it when vet practices grow so much that you really take a chance on who you see. That's what happened at my last vets. The original vet was great but her practice grew and she kept hiring more vets...some I liked...some I didn't. We don't go there any more. We go to a vet where I KNOW who I will be seeing.

| I am more calm now than I was earlier. I have decided that we aren't even going to go back. I will take my Vet friend's recommendations and do my homework. There is a husband and wife (both vets) that are in a near by city that I had met. She seemed very knowledgeable on toy breeds..I may make a visit there and see how things go. Thanks for listening to me vent though. I was so worked up earlier that half my face turned red. I'm not joking about that...I have no idea why but split right down the middle, one side was beet read and the other was pale white!

| I am so sorry you had such a bad experience. I had a vet that I really like and she had to sell practice because she had twins and couldn't work all the hours and the person who bought the practice was not anywhere personable. I never felt comfortable with her.

YT 2000 Club Member | Awe, poor babies, sounds like t was a bad visit to the vet all around. Don't you hate it when you find a vet you just love & trust and really respect and then they leave? I'm so picky about who our furkids see as well. I think a new vet is definately in order for your furbabies, that, or make sure when they schedual them for anything that they never see the one again that they just seen. Let us know how the talk with the other doc went. Gonna read through the posts now to see if you've posted anything about that yet.
