| Hi Nice to meet ya!Here's some Pee! Im sure my title wasnt as clear as it could have been but I am at my wits end with my pup peeing on guests. I took the advice that let ppl greet her calmly. she doesnt usually pee if she is being ignored when ppl come. but sometimes, most times she hears that high pitched baby voice when ppl greet her and yep.... u guessed it, pee everywhere! Now my question is, is there a way to get her use to hearing this high pitched baby voice. it seems like i cannot rid of this as she meets ppl on walks/here and there/guests/etc. Will she just "grow" out of this? She is 4.5 months right now. when i first got her 2 months ago she didnt do this. it took about a month for it to rear its ugly head. any advice would be much appreciated. thanks, Vaishali |

| I had a female GS years ago that did that. She just got so excited when anyone walked threw the door she would pee. We started walking in and walked right past her into the kitchen, opened the door and let her out before we greeted her I think it is just excitment. I would either ignore her and not greet her or put her into the kitchen, pen etc until company calmed down then let her join in. |

| One of my boys peed on people when he was excited or nervous. Both my brothers made him nervous and so he peed whenever they came near him. He also lifted a leg on female friends and ME a couple times also. He did outgrow this. You could put a diaper on her when you expect company if she is peeing on people. I think she will eventually outgrow it though as her bladder gets stronger.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Giggled at your title. As hard as it is not to greet an excited yorkie...I would explain to everyone....please please ignore her for a few minutes and use a normal tone of voice. Some do outgrow submissive peeing....and others...like my brother's dashuand never do.

| I don't have any advice but I had to laugh when I read this because my brother used to get so mad at me as he had a Rottie that would pee on herself every time I talked to her.

| Pookie doesn't care what tone of voice you use He gets excited and pees when people just walk in! Thank goodness I'm hearing that he will probably outgrow this. ( He's 4 1/2 months now). I take him with me to work every day, and I don't mind him greeting people, but the wet floor's gotta go! I just try to pick him up and hold him when someone comes in, and when he gets through saying hello and settled down I put him down and then everything is ok.

| LOL - the thread's title says it all. Bernie does the same thing but only with me and his mom so far. We're dealing w/ it for now b/c we don't have the heart to ignore him after being away at work for most of the day. Good luck.

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | @first I thought this was a newbie post......& then it said "here's some pee"! I was going to welcome them and then.....stopped....lol...hehe Just giggling @the title, not yr problem. I recognized the name...whew! The diaper idea sounds like a good idea while visitors are over. @my house, we do the high pitched baby talk all the time (even my hubbie...sssshhhh) she's use to it!

| When Ittybit was really young she would do this but around 6 months she stopped. I tried to ignore her when I came home but she would follow me and leave a little pee trail LOL |

YT 2000 Club Member | I don't have any suggestions, sorry/ But I do hope you find a way to stop this. Maggy may doesn't do it when every single person comes over, she only does it when my niece comes around. Soon as she gets in the door Maggy starts getting all excited and is just filled with tons of wiggles and jiggles and is jumping up on my nieces legs as if to say, "oh, another visitor just for me? Oh I LOVE you, I LOVE, you, I LOVE you, wizzzz." My niece ends up jumping back and standing in a funny position with her legs apart like she's getting ready to do a split, lol. Now when she comes over, soon as she gets in the door, she automatically hurries and stands like that and says, oh, don't pee on me, don't pee on me, lol. I don't know why she does it to just this one person. I guess she just gets so excited she can't contain herself.
