Ditto - that's the ticket and it must be followed strictly - my daughter's dog (mix of beagle and retriever) would do just that whenever anyone came to the door (not a pretty sight) but when you ignored him for about 5 min. or so, he'd calm down and would not pee and then everything was OK and by the way, he never outgrew this. He was just a nervous dog and remained that way until the end.
