| Is this a Yorkie!? I just bought my cute puppy a few days ago. I was told he is a Yorkshire Terrier and even have the PUREBREAD papers, but I am not sure if he is a mix? It could just be that his hair is cut real short around his snout, making it look longer. But he also has real pointy ears... Do yorkies have pointy long ears? Are they supposed to get cut as a puppy? He is 11 weeks old, 3 lbs and very cute. I just want to make sure i wasnt lied to about his bread. Either way I am keeping him because I already love him, but when i look at picture of other yorkies, they dont have his ears..?? Please look at the picture and let me know!? |

| i would say yes he is a yorkie, yorkies over time their ears will perk up, or they perk up quickly, my yorkies ears are still floopy, but getting higher every week. and his cut job looks a little butchered so it looks a little unlike the other yorkies but it is a yorkie, just let it grow out, eventually every yorkie should have pointy stand up ears. |

| My puppy have long pointed ears too and they kinda look graggly when they are puppy because of puppy fur. He looks all Yorkie to me though. About two years ago, I asked the same question about my Yorkie too and then I learned they come in different looks.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Their ears come in all different sizes, but most yorkies have the top one third of the hair on ear cut to the edge. This makes them look less big. You might want to check out the grooming section for tips on how to do this correctly. He's a real cutie and looks all yorkie to me.
