| I just trimmed Diesels ears yesterday because he looked like he was going to fly away! It makes a huge difference. BTW, your pup looks 100% yorkie for sure.

| i haven't seen anyone post this yet so NO you are not supposed to cut the yorkies ears, only the hair on them and yes he does look all yorkies. Some have very big ears but they grow into them somewhat. My Ceeby is my avatar has long, thin ears but now that he is a man. they don't look so long. |

| I think your baby looks all yorkie to me too. Here is a picture of my Emma the day I got her and boy did she have some big ears. The second picture is a recent picture of her she has grown into those big ole' ears.

| My boy was the runt and had to put all his strength into surviving, not into growing hair. He has a long nose with no hair on it. At 5, he still has only short hair on his ears and no topknot. He had longer hair when he was three, but only for about a year, then he rubbed off his topknot by scurrying under the covers to sleep. I have heard this kind of dog described as a "Foxface" Yorkie, although I think that is just a description, not a scientific name. I wouldn't trade him for all the picture perfect dogs in the world. Puppies are like babies, you can't "put them back" if you don't like their looks. Just love him! ![]() Last edited by Sarah Sadie; 04-23-2008 at 07:29 AM. |

| Awww how cute is he? He looks all Yorkie to me too. This is a breed that can have several different looks. But a Yorkie is a Yorkie. Love those ears! LOL Congratulations and good luck with your boy. |

| A puppy is a product of it's genes. It will basically resemble what the bloodline looks like..the more time a breeder puts into adhering to the standard, the more a puppy looks like the standard. Best wishes |

| I think he is full-blooded and a cutie at that. The dead give-away (IMOM) is the tip of that little tongue showing! Yorkies are famous for tongue pictures!!!!! |

| Senior Yorkie Talker | It is my pleasure to put the photo of your yorkie back to normal position. He is a york and he will be a teapot though. As far as he is yorkie, he would have all the quality as characters to keep you company. A small advise, you could cut (trim) a bit of the hairs around the ears of your yorkie, he should be very very cute afterwards. Welcome. Hope you like your photo like this. Vincent Quote:
