| Should I get a playmate for Tootsy? Hi everyone Tootsy has a lot of energy. We take her for a walk/run every day for about an hour to an hour and a half. She comes home and wants to play fetch! She can go for a walk and come home and want you to play energetic games like fetch and tug of war for hours. I am quite serious - I once played fetch with her for two hours after her walk!! She was still disappointed when I stopped! She never seems to tire and we cannot keep it up. So, we wondered if it would help if we got her a playmate. Do Yorkies play together a lot? Do you think that this would be a solution? If we don't want to play, she will sit and cry or put her head on her front paws and look miserable. This tugs at our heart strings and makes us feel miserable that she is so unhappy. She won't play with toys on her own. Hope someone can help us. Luv Franceen |

| Thanks so much for your replies. Should I get a puppy or older dog? Tootsy is very jealous and I wondered if I got a puppy, whether she would mother it instead of feeling that it was a threat? Of course, an older dog would be an instant playmate, provided they liked each other, but then there's the jealously thing to consider. I am a first time dog owner so I know so little about this sort of thing. I would be grateful for any advice. Luv Franceen xx |
